Liverpool vs PSG Preview

Tournament: UEFA Champions League

Date: Tuesday, March 11

Kick-off Time: 8:00 PM GMT

Venue: Anfield

After a fierce encounter in Paris, Liverpool will welcome PSG to Merseyside in the second leg of the RO16. The Reds won the reverse game 0-1 away from home and will have a slight advantage heading into this fixture. Arne Slot’s side were not the superior side on paper, but still managed to grab a win in the first leg. They come into this game on the back of a convincing victory over Southampton in the Premier League.

Liverpool have scored ten goals from 16 shots on target in their last five outings. They haven’t lost a game for more than a month and will be keen to build upon that, Mohammedan Salah is their top scorer with 27 goals across all competitions. Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have nine and eight strikes respectively. Salah also leads the charts with 17 assists followed by Trent Alexander Arnold with six assists and Diaz with four under his belt.

PSG on the other hand will be burning in fire for revenge. They were certainly moles ahead of Liverpool in terms of impact and performance on the pitch but unfortunately ended up on the losing end.

The Parisians will be motivated to settle scores with the Reds at Anfield and move further into the competition. They have lost just one game in 24 outings this year and that was against Liverpool.

Luis Enrique’s side pulled off a 1-4 victory over Rennes in the last match. PSG have scored 18 goals from 45 shots on target in their last five games. Ousmane Dembele leads the pack with 27 goals followed by Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos with 18 and 13 goals respectively.
