Young Boys vs Atalanta Prediction, Preview, Team News, and Lineups | UEFA Champions League, November 26, 2024

- Tournament: UEFA Champions League
- Date: Tuesday, November 26, 2024
- Time: 8:00 pm GMT
- Venue: Wankdorf Stadium
BSC Young Boys will take on Atalanta at the Wankdorf Stadium on their return to the UEFA Champions League action this week. While each tie is important for both sides, it is arguably a more crucial match for the Italian team.
Young Boys have lost all four of their Champions League games so far this season and sit 34th in the table, just two placed above the bottom. They lost 3-0 against Aston Villa, 5-0 against Barcelona, 1-0 against Inter Milan, and 2-1 against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Swiss side are widely expected to get eliminated at the league stage, which also puts pressure on Atalanta for the upcoming clash. They will be expected to take all three points and consolidate their position in the top 8. They are currently ninth, having won two and drawn two of their four games.
Atalanta drew 0-0 against Arsenal, beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0, drew 0-0 against Celtic, and then beat VfB Stuttgart 2-0. Interestingly, they’ve won both their away games and hence, would be further favorites against BSC Young Boys.

Young Boys have won just two of their last six games across competitions, losing three and drawing one. They have, however, lost all four of their Champions League games this season so far. They lost 2-1 away against Shakhtar Donetsk on their last outing in the competition.
In their last match, they beat Lugano 2-1 at home in the domestic league and will hope to take confidence from that against Atalanta. They will also face Luzern away on Saturday (November 23) before facing the Italian side.
Atalanta, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last 10 games across competitions with eight wins and two draws. They have won their last five games across competitions. They will face Parma away in Serie A before facing Young Boys.
