Al Hilal 2-0 Al Fateh Player Ratings: Dominant Display From Inzaghi's Men Pushes Them To Top of Table As Defensive Resilience Proves Key

Simone Inzaghi's men clinched a narrow 1-0 victory on matchday 12 of the 2026/27 Saudi Pro League against relegation battlers Al Fateh. The hosts clearly dominated the game, as they were expected to do so, which was reflected in their 2.77 xG.

Al Hilal took a total of 21 shots in this game, while Al Fateh could only manage just two, with none of those being on target. The hosts scored the first goal of the game in the 12th minute, when Ruben Neves found Mohammed Mahzari with a lovely long ball in the box.

Although the Saudi Arabian right-back's effort came off the crossbar, Ollie Watkins took advantage of the loose marking on him to tap home from close range to give Al Hilal the lead. This was his fifth goal in 10 games for his new side.

Mourad Batna handled Sergej Milinković-Savić's header in the box late in the game, resulting in a penalty. Rúben Neves made no mistake in dispatching it cleanly, putting the final nail in the coffin for the visitors.

Adrian Šemper made some good saves for Al Fateh to keep a respectable scoreline; otherwise, the story of the match could have been much worse. Analyze the Al Hilal vs Al Fateh Player Ratings below to see who were the top performers and who disappointed the most.
