Bangladesh kicked off their inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup campaign with a match against Malaysia, with visible excitement among the fans as one of their favourites, Hamza Chowdhury, was set to feature.

Any initial efforts in the second half by the Bengal Tigers were undone by Malaysia, as they went on to score their third goal through Bérgson, who received a cross from La'Vere Corbin-Ong and turned his defender expertly before dispatching the ball at Srabon's first post.

Bangladesh wouldn't be happy with the result in this game, as the qualification scenario gets tougher considering the number of goals they have conceded in the first game itself.
