Chelsea 1–0 Agg (5–1) Djurgarden Player Ratings: The Blues Steps into the Conference League Finals After a Convincing Victory

Chelsea defeated Djurgarden 1-0 (aggregate 5-1) at Stamford Bridge on Thursday to qualify for the finals of the UEFA Conference League. In a game that was very much controlled by the Blues, Dewsbury Hall scored the winner in the tie.

From the start of the game, it has been slow, as Chelsea has already placed one foot into the final of the competition. As Nguen lingered on the brink of the box in the fifth minute of play, Djurgarden appeared to be improving. But Acheampong grabbed the ball and aggressively drove it out. The action ends with Gusto blasting a high cross out for a Rinne goal kick, which is unfortunate for the home team.

The free kick Djurgarden used was short and ineffectual. The ball was prodded away by Larsson, but Chelsea swiftly regained control. James then forgot the ball, ending the home team's promising play.

Chelsea's first real chance of the match came in the 28th minute. George attempted a shot for the home team from the right of the box but was stopped. Dewsbury-Hall took it, shooting more accurately and causing Rinne's hands to hurt. After that, Cucurella dashes upon the stray shards, but his frenzied attempt is put out of his power.

Djurgarden broke with Gulliksen to locate Nguen thirty minutes after an onslaught led by Sancho and Acheampong ended. It was wise of Tosin to halt the onslaught right away. Chelsea was ahead as play progressed, and George shot across from a tight angle on the left, forcing Rinne to make a stretching stop.

After an unmarked George turned with the ball in the middle of the pitch and fed an onrushing Dewsbury-Hall, who fired in off the left upright from the edge of the box, Chelsea took the lead in the match.

The first half was pretty much in the first gear, as Chelsea did not look much in a hurry to put a mark, and Djurgarden could not find any way to dominate the Blues and get back into this game. At the sixty-minute mark, George appeared from the left side. Before the forward delivered Kosugi a fine dummy and maybe has his name illuminated, Sancho works the action over from the right. Even though it's over, an excellent initiative was shown. Found in space to the right of the Djurgarden area, Sancho skipped off. He fired a cross onto George in the goalmouth but was pushed farther wide. The presence of Tenho, however, prevents the child from converting. He appeared to have been offside, and the awkward tumble from the poorly executed header had him in the Djurgarden net getting treatment.

Around the 71st minute, Gusto blocks Kosugi's attempt as he cuts in from the left. Stensson blasted the ball towards the top-right corner before Jorgensen skilfully tipped it over.

The Danish goalkeeper had a good game, making three saves in the game. He also had a good distribution despite some amount of pressure that was exerted by Djurgarden.

RB- Malo Gusto- 7.5/10

The French right-back had a great game on the right side of the pitch. He was involved in four defensive actions and created multiple attacking opportunities for Chelsea.

CB- Tosin Adarabioyo- 7.0/10

The English defender had a good game, maintaining a passing accuracy of 95 percent. He was involved in nine defensive actions and made five recoveries for his team.

CB- Benoit Badiashile- 7.0/10

The French defender gave a strong performance despite a very limited attack from Djurgarden. He was involved in five defensive actions and made a couple of crucial clearances.

LB- Josh Acheampong- 6.9/10

The full-back had a good game, contributing both in defence and attack. He was involved in seven defensive actions and won nine duels in the game.

CM- Reece James- 8.3/10

The skipper had a great game, completing the most dribbles and winning the most duels in the game. He maintained a passing accuracy of 94 percent and created a couple of attacking opportunities for the Blues.

CM- Marc Cucurella- 7.0/10

Played as a midfielder in the game and had a decent display with control at the centre of the pitch. He maintained a good passing accuracy of 92 percent as he cruised his way past the opposition on most occasions.

AM- Reggie Walsh- 6.2/10

The youngster was handed a debut in the semi-final and was decent, but did not impress much. He had only a single shot on the goal from the outside of the box.

RW- Dewsbury-Hall- 8.5/10

The brightest player in the game, who acted more centrally in the game and scored a goal for the Blues. He had six shots in total and created three attacking opportunities against Djurgarden.

LW- Jadon Sancho- 6.5/10

The English winger had a decent game, asserting pressure from the left side of the pitch.

ST- Tyrique George- 7.5/10

He had a great game, involved in almost all of Chelsea's attacks. He took four shots on goal and assisted the goal of Dewsbury Hall.

To make room for 17-year-old Shumaira Mheuka, Maresca decided to switch at the half.

Sancho is taken off for a 17-year-old England youth international.

Enzo Maresca would be happy with the way his team managed this game after they had already won the first leg with a big margin. His team was pretty much on point with the transitions and holding the ball whenever under pressure.

GK- Jacob Rinne- 7.1/10

The Swedish goalkeeper saved four shots on goal and was brilliant against the Chelsea attackers despite his teammate not being able to perform well.

RB- Kieta Kosugi- 6.8/10

The 19-year-old Japanese right-back had a good game, contributing both in defence and attack. He had two shots on goal and won three duels in the game.

CB- Jacob Larsson- 6.6/10

The 31-year-old defender had an average game, maintaining a passing accuracy of 95 percent. He was strong, preventing the attackers of Chelsea, and was involved in four defensive actions.

CB- Miro Tenho- 7.0/10

The Finland international had a good game in the defence and was very close to scoring a goal for his side. He maintained a passing accuracy of 93 percent and was involved in 12 defensive actions.

LB- Viktro Bergh- 6.6/10

The full-back maintained a passing accuracy of 89 percent and was involved in nine defensive actions for his side. He won five duels and made three clearances.

The 24-year-old midfielder had a decent game at the central part of the field but Chelsea completely negated his threat by not letting him free with the ball.

He had the most least number of touches in the game and was not involved in much of the attacks.

The Norwegian attacker made quite a few runs from the left side of the attack but Chelsea's defence was calm enough to keep him at bay.

The striker had two shots on goal but could not have a strong presence inside the Chelsea box.
