Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and Udanta Singh's heroics helped India defeat Oman 3-2 in the penalty shootouts, after both sides failed to break the 1-1 deadlock in what turned out to be a riveting encounter. After Oman took the lead post the break, it was Udanta Singh's diving header that brought India level. In the shootout, Sandhu made a magnificent save to help India pull off the thrilling coup.
