From our perspective at the Stade Olympique de Nouakchott, this was a shockingly one-sided affair. Mauritania completely dismantled a Togo side that looked lost from the first whistle. It was a tactical masterclass from the home team. They established dominance early, and it all started with Papa Yade's 13th-minute opener which completely deflated the visitors. We noticed Togo's shoulders slump after that. They just couldn't find a response. Their passing was sloppy, and their forwards were left chasing shadows for most of the match. Mauritania, on the other hand, played with a swagger. They were comfortable on the ball and ruthless when it mattered. The second goal from their captain, Aly Abeid, was the nail in the coffin. Unknown Player - 8.5: A clean sheet says it all. Wasn't tested constantly but made the saves he needed to with absolute confidence. He looked incredibly composed and commanded his area well, giving his backline a huge boost.

Defenders

Aly Abeid - 9.0: Man of the Match, no question about it. A true captain's performance. He led from the back, was defensively immense, and popped up with a well-taken goal to seal the win. What stood out to us was his commanding presence and leadership throughout the ninety minutes.

Demini Saleck - 7.5: A very solid and composed display on the flank. He didn't put a foot wrong and was a key part of a backline that gave Togo absolutely nothing to work with. He was disciplined, effective, and just did his job perfectly.

Lamine Ba - 8.0: Absolutely dominant in the air. We noticed he won nearly every single aerial duel he contested, just a magnet to the ball. He read the game beautifully and snuffed out any potential danger before it could even start. Really impressive stuff from the center-back.

Nouh Mohamed El Abd - 7.5: Just like his defensive partners, he was incredibly solid. He kept his game simple and executed his defensive duties to perfection. He was a key part of that impenetrable wall that Togo simply could not break down.

Aboubakary Koita - 7.0: Kept things ticking over nicely in the middle of the park. His work rate was impressive, and he connected the defense to the attack seamlessly. It was a tidy, professional performance without much fuss.

M. Bodda - 7.5: Controlled the tempo of the game from deep. He was always available for a pass and dictated the flow of play with his intelligence. From our perspective, he was the unsung hero in that dominant midfield performance.

Steven Mensah - 5.0: Conceded two goals and looked shaky. Couldn't do much about either strike, to be fair to him. But he didn't inspire much confidence and his distribution was often poor, putting his team under pressure.

Defenders

Emmanuel Hackman - 5.0: Really struggled against Mauritania's fluid and fast attack. He was often caught out of position and looked a step behind the pace of the game. A difficult evening for the defender.

Kévin Boma - 4.5: A really difficult game for the center-back. He seemed overwhelmed by the movement of Mauritania's forwards and was part of a defense that offered little resistance. A performance he will want to forget quickly.

Augustin Drakpe - 4.0: He was hooked at halftime, which tells you everything you need to know about his performance. He was completely out of his depth in the first half and was arguably the worst performer on the pitch.

Djené - 5.5: As the captain, we really expected more from him. He tried to hold things together but the defense was a complete shambles around him. He looked visibly frustrated and simply couldn't stem the tide.

Jean Claude - 5.0: Completely anonymous in the center of the park. The game just seemed to pass him by completely. He failed to get on the ball or make any kind of impact whatsoever. A ghost.

Karim Dermane - 5.5: Showed a few nice touches here and there but was ultimately overrun by the opposition. He fought hard but it was a losing battle in a midfield that was second best all day.

Sadik Fofana - 5.5: Similar to Dermane, he worked hard but was just chasing shadows for large parts of the game. He couldn't get a foothold in the match to influence proceedings.

Forwards

Kévin Denkey - 5.0: Was completely isolated up front. He made some decent runs but was starved of any real service from his teammates. A frustrating and thankless task for him leading the line.

Thibault Klidjé - 5.0: Barely had a kick of the ball. He was a passenger for most of the game before being rightfully substituted. Utterly ineffective and offered no threat.

K. Laba - 5.0: Another forward who had zero impact on the game. He was easily handled by the Mauritanian defense and never looked like scoring.
