Mohun Bagan got the ball rolling, and as expected, the ball was mostly played in the midfield with both teams making a couple of efforts into the attack. While Mohun Bagan tried to play long balls into the attacking third, Bengaluru FC were keen on keeping possession and slowly trying to infiltrate through. However, the backline of either side.

Even after scoring, Bagan continued the attack and this time from all sides. But the Bengaluru defence kept themselves composed and closed. Though the fresh legs of Sahal and Ashique made some headaches for them, they kept their calm and kept the scoreboard 1-1 at full-time.
In the extra time once again in the same manner as how Bengaluru scored the first goal, Ryan Williams made another shot from the right wing which once again hit Alberto Rodrguez and went towards the target in an even dangerous manner. However this time to the teams rescue Vishal Kaith got his hands onto it.
