Porto dominated the ball and created a host of chances but were ultimately held to a frustrating 1-1 till half tme. Moreirense executed their game plan almost to perfection. They absorbed immense pressure and struck first against the run of play. Alan de Souza Guimarães provided the clinical finish in the 18th minute. It really looked like it might be their day.

However, Porto found a way back just before the break. A VAR-assisted penalty was coolly dispatched by Samu Aghehowa. The second half was one-way traffic, but an inspired performance from the home goalkeeper and some desperate defending saw the Moreirense & Porto clash end all square till 87th minute. But at last when the game was looking to be a stalemate, Gul scored the goal to secure 3 points for Porto.

Goalkeeper

Diogo Costa - 6.0: He had very little to do for most of the match. The goal he conceded was a well-placed shot, giving him almost no chance. He distributed the ball efficiently but was largely a spectator as the action unfolded at the other end. A quiet night for the captain.

Defenders

Jakub Kiwior - 7.0: A really solid performance. We noticed his comfort on the ball, boasting a 90% pass accuracy and always looking to play forward. He even ventured into the box and had a decent shot saved. Defensively sound, he contributed well to Porto's dominance.

Jan Bednarek - 7.5: What stood out to us was his incredible composure. He completed 89 of his 92 passes and was a monster in recovering the ball 10 times. He won most of his duels and made a crucial 5 clearances. A commanding presence who barely put a foot wrong all game.

Alberto Costa - 6.5: A mixed bag from our perspective. He was involved in creating a huge chance with a pinpoint cross that led to a saved header. However, he also lost possession a bit too often for our liking. He was solid enough but didn't quite hit the heights of his defensive partners.

Francisco Moura - 6.0: An industrious but ultimately ineffective outing. He tried to get involved but was caught offside and made a couple of fouls. His influence waned and he was rightly substituted in the second half. Not a bad performance, just an uninspiring one.

Midfielders

Victor Froholdt - 7.5: He was the player who made the difference in the final third for Porto. His clever play won the penalty that got his team back into the game. He was energetic, drew fouls, and always looked to make something happen. A very positive and impactful performance.

Gabri Veiga - 5.0: We were honestly disappointed with his contribution. He was almost anonymous during his 58 minutes on the pitch. He lost the ball 11 times from just 39 touches and offered little creative spark. It was no surprise to see him substituted early.

Alan Varela - 7.0: The metronome in Porto's midfield. He kept things ticking over with an 88% pass accuracy and created a chance with a key pass. He drew three fouls, showing his cleverness in tight spaces. A tidy, controlled performance that helped Porto sustain pressure.

Forwards

Samu Aghehowa - 8.0: Porto's biggest threat by a mile. He showed immense composure to score the penalty and level the match. Beyond the goal, he had four shots on target, constantly testing the keeper. His movement and presence were a nightmare for the Moreirense defence all evening.

Pepê - 6.5: A frustrating night for the attacker. He delivered a fantastic cross for a header that should have been a goal. He tried to take players on but lost possession quite a bit. You can't fault his effort, but the final product just wasn't there before he was subbed off.

Borja Sainz - 5.5: He only lasted 45 minutes and it's easy to see why. He picked up a yellow card and struggled to get into the rhythm of the game. He created a couple of chances but his overall impact was minimal. A day to forget for him.

William Gomes - 6.5: Came on at half-time and added some energy, but couldn't find the breakthrough. Rodrigo Mora - 7.0: He was so unlucky not to be the hero, hitting the post with a great effort. Dominik Prpic - N/A: Not on long enough to rate. Deniz Gül - 8.5: Brought on late to add a presence and scored the winner.

F. Sánchez Mateos - 6.0: His team completely dominated the game in terms of stats but couldn't secure the win. The tactics were fine, but the inability to break down a packed defence is a concern. His substitutions were logical but failed to produce a winning goal.

André Ferreira - 9.0: The clear Man of the Match. An absolutely heroic performance. He made five saves, including several from point-blank range, to keep his team in the game. He was commanding, brave, and the sole reason Moreirense walked away with a point. We were blown away by his display.

Defenders

Jóbson de Brito Gonzaga - 7.0: A warrior at the back. He made a massive 8 clearances and was a calming influence. He read the game well, making two interceptions and winning most of his duels. He was crucial to his team's defensive stand and showed great discipline to avoid costly errors.

Francisco Miguel Teixeira Domingues - 5.5: From our perspective, he was the weak link in the backline. He made an error that led directly to a shot and struggled in his duels. While he made 7 clearances, he looked nervy and was fortunate Porto didn't punish his mistakes. He was subbed off injured.

Travassos - 6.0: A really hard-working but frustrating performance. He won a decent number of tackles but his passing was off, completing only half of his attempts. He gave away possession far too much, putting his team under needless pressure. He ran hard but lacked quality.

Cedric Wilfried Teguia Noubi - 6.0: A very quiet game from the midfielder. He was neat on the ball but failed to impose himself on the match. With just 22 touches, he was a passenger for long periods. He did his defensive duties but offered little else.

Mateja Stjepanović - 6.5: A purely defensive role for him today. He was there to break up play, winning a few tackles and making three clearances. He wasn't involved much in possession, but his job was to disrupt Porto's flow, which he did reasonably well. A functional, if unspectacular, performance.

Alan de Souza Guimarães - 7.5: He provided the one moment of real quality for his team. A brilliant, clinical finish for the opening goal. Outside of that moment, he was disciplined and tidy in possession, though he did pick up a yellow card. That goal alone earns him a high rating.

Bernardo Sousa Pereira Brites Martins - 8.0: What an engine. This guy was everywhere. He won an incredible 9 duels and made 7 ball recoveries. He was a terrier in midfield, breaking up countless Porto attacks and drawing three fouls to relieve pressure. A truly immense defensive midfield performance.

Forwards

Yan Lincon Farias de Sousa - 4.5: It's harsh but his game will be defined by one moment. A clumsy challenge to give away the penalty that cost his team the win. He worked hard and won a surprising number of aerial duels, but that single error was catastrophic. A really tough night for the striker.

Guilherme Schettine - 6.0: Came on and gave away a couple of fouls, but worked hard to press from the front. Álvaro Martínez - N/A: Came on for the injured Kiko but had little time to make an impact.

V. de Albuquerque Botelho da Costa - 8.0: From our perspective, he got his tactics spot on. He set his team up to be compact, resilient, and to frustrate a superior opponent. They soaked up pressure, took their one big chance, and fought for their lives. He'll be delighted with the result and his team's incredible spirit.
