What a match we just witnessed! We can call this an utter humiliation, a demolition, and everything in between to justify the horrific 11-1 scoreline. The nightmare will haunt the Moldova national football team for gameweeks to come, as Norway's ruthless onslaught left them in tatters, with Erling Haaland's five goals carving their defense like a hot knife through butter. Felix Horn Myhre opened the scoring in just the 6th minute, setting the tone for a relentless attacking display. But the night belonged to two men. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Aasgard, who were a force of nature, bagged five goals and three goals.

Working in perfect harmony with Haaland was captain Martin Odegaard , who pulled all the strings from midfield. He added a goal and two assists of his own, conducting the orchestra with breathtaking class. Moldova had no answers. They were passengers in a match that quickly turned into a training ground exercise for the Norwegians. Their only consolation came via an unfortunate own goal, a mere footnote in a story of utter dominance.

Here are Norway Player Ratings vs Moldova

Goalkeeper

Ørjan Nyland - 6.0: A spectator for most of the game. He had virtually nothing to do as his team ran riot at the other end. The only goal he conceded was an own goal from his own defender, which he could do little about. His distribution was decent on the few occasions he was called upon. An easy, quiet night for the Norwegian keeper.

Defenders

Kristoffer Ajer - 7.0: A very composed performance before he was substituted. We noticed his perfect 100% pass accuracy, which was crucial in building from the back. He won all his duels and was never troubled defensively. A solid, if unspectacular, outing for the centre-back before getting a well-deserved rest.

David Møller Wolfe - 7.5: Excellent performance from the left-back, who was a constant threat going forward. He grabbed a deserved assist and created another big chance, always looking to get involved in the attack. Defensively he was sound, winning most of his duels and making key recoveries. A really encouraging, all-action display.

Julian Ryerson - 8.5: What a machine. Ryerson was phenomenal on the right flank, providing a brilliant assist and creating an incredible four chances for his teammates. His delivery from wide areas was consistently dangerous, with a 57% cross accuracy. He was also diligent in his defensive duties. An almost complete full-back performance.

Torbjørn Heggem - 8.0: From our perspective, Heggem was a colossus at the back. He was dominant in the air and on the ground, winning an impressive 10 out of 12 duels. He made five successful tackles and five clearances, completely shutting down any sniff of a Moldovan attack. A commanding and powerful defensive showing.

Midfielders

Sander Berge - 8.5: The midfield metronome. Berge was imperious, controlling the tempo of the entire game with an incredible 124 accurate passes. He was everywhere, recovering the ball six times and creating three chances for the forwards. He acted as the perfect pivot, linking defense and attack seamlessly. A truly classy performance.

Martin Ødegaard - 10: A perfect performance from the captain. This was art in motion. Ødegaard was simply unplayable, scoring one goal, providing two assists, and creating a staggering seven chances. He completed eight key passes, dictating everything. It felt like he had the ball on a string, and Moldova simply couldn't get near him. A masterclass.

Felix Horn Myhre - 8.5: Got the party started with the opening goal and then added an assist in a fantastic display. He was full of energy and intelligent running, proving to be a nightmare for the opposition midfield. He linked up play beautifully and his performance was a key part of Norway's early dominance before he was substituted.

Forwards

Alexander Sørloth - 6.5: It was a frustrating night for Sørloth amidst the goal-fest. He was very active and got into dangerous positions, registering five shots. However, his finishing was off, as he missed two big chances. He worked hard but couldn't find the clinical edge his teammates possessed.

Erling Haaland - 10: What is there to say? A perfect 10. A truly destructive and awe-inspiring performance. Haaland scored five goals and provided two assists. He was a monster, winning his physical battles and showing clinical finishing of the highest order. He even hit the woodwork. One of the greatest individual displays we've ever seen.

Antonio Nusa - 7.5: A livewire on the wing. Nusa was a constant menace with his direct dribbling, completing five take-ons. He created three chances and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself. His pace and trickery gave the Moldovan defense fits all evening until he was subbed off.

Substitutes

Thelo Aasgaard - 9.0: The best substitute performance you will ever see. Came on and scored a hat-trick, including a coolly taken penalty. His movement and finishing were exceptional. An incredible, game-changing impact off the bench that piled on the misery for Moldova.

Leo Østigård - 5.0: A tough cameo for the defender. He came on to see out the game but was incredibly unlucky to score an own goal just a minute later. It was a bizarre moment in an otherwise perfect night for his team. Hard to rate him any higher given the circumstances.

Oscar Bobb - 7.0: Looked sharp and dangerous after coming on. He won the penalty and was constantly looking to create. A promising cameo.

Andreas Schjelderup - 6.5: Showed some nice touches and got involved in the final third during his time on the pitch. Kept the pressure on.

Manager

S. Solbakken - 9.5: His game plan was executed to absolute perfection. He set his team up to be ruthless and they delivered one of the most dominant performances in recent memory. The attacking patterns were fluid and unstoppable. His substitutions were also effective. A near-flawless night for the manager.

Goalkeeper

Cristian Avram - 3.0: An impossible and brutal night for the keeper. He conceded 11 goals, a statistic that will haunt him. While he did make six saves, some of which were impressive, he was let down completely by his defense. He looked shell-shocked as the goals rained down, and his distribution suffered under the immense pressure.

Defenders

Oleg Reabciuk - 4.0: Completely overwhelmed on the left flank. He was up against a rampant Norwegian attack and simply couldn't cope. He lost possession 12 times and offered little resistance. It was a torrid experience for the defender, who was chasing shadows for 90 minutes.

Vladyslav Baboglo - 4.0: Made a few clearances but was part of a defensive unit that completely crumbled. He was bypassed with ease time and time again. What stood out to us was the lack of organization and communication at the back, and he was a central part of that chaos.

Artur Crăciun - 2.0: A disastrous performance that summed up Moldova's night. His error directly led to a goal, and he looked completely out of his depth. He made several clearances but was also caught out of position repeatedly. From our perspective, he was the worst performer on the pitch.

Sergiu Platica - 3.5: Just like his fellow defenders, Platica had a night to forget. He was constantly beaten by Norway's wingers and struggled to make any meaningful impact on the game. He was simply unable to handle the pace and movement of the opposition.

Midfielders

Artur Ioniță - 4.0: He was supposed to provide some steel in midfield but was completely anonymous. He was hooked at half-time after failing to offer any protection to his backline. He lost most of his duels and couldn't get a foothold in the game whatsoever.

Mihail Caimacov - 5.0: One of the few Moldovan players who showed some fight. He made several tackles and recoveries, working tirelessly in a losing battle. However, he was still overrun by Norway's superior midfield and picked up a yellow card for his troubles. A commendable effort in an impossible situation.

Vadim Rață - 2.5: A shocking display from the captain. He was dribbled past six times, completely failing to shield his defense. To make matters worse, he committed a clumsy foul to give away a penalty. It was a performance devoid of leadership when his team needed it most.

Virgiliu Postolachi - 4.0: Another player who was a ghost in the first half before being substituted. He had no impact on the game, was dispossessed easily, and offered nothing going forward. A completely ineffective 45 minutes.

Forwards

Ion Nicolaescu - 5.0: The loneliest man on the pitch. He was completely isolated up front, feeding on scraps. He worked hard and tried to hold the ball up, but he had absolutely no service or support. It's tough to be critical of a striker who had no chance to influence the game.

Nikita Motpan - 4.0: Deployed in a defensive role but offered very little protection. He was frequently caught out of position and struggled to keep up with the pace of the game before being substituted after an hour.

Substitutes

Daniel Dumbravanu - 4.5: Came on at halftime but couldn't stem the tide. The onslaught continued.

Stefan Bodisteanu - 4.5: Another halftime sub who struggled to make any positive impact as Norway continued to dominate.

Maxim Cojocaru - N/A: Brought on when the game was long over.

Victor Bogaciuc - N/A: Minimal minutes, no real chance to influence proceedings.

Cristian Dros - N/A: A late cameo in a thumping defeat.

Manager

S. Cleşcenco - 2.0: His team looked completely unprepared for what was to come. The tactical setup was naive, with no plan to contain Norway's obvious attacking threats. His side was disorganized, demoralized, and thoroughly outclassed from the first minute to the last. A dreadful night at the office for the manager.
