PSG Player Ratings vs Paris FC

Check out the PSG Player Ratings from the Paris FC vs PSG Player Ratings.

Goalkeeper

Matvey Safonov - 8.0: Easily PSG's best player on the pitch. The Russian shot-stopper was the only reason the scoreline wasn't a complete embarrassment for the visitors. He made a phenomenal six saves, all from inside the box, which tells you everything about the pressure he was under. He couldn't do much about the goal he conceded. Without his heroics, PSG would have undoubtedly left empty-handed. A truly commanding performance between the sticks.

Defenders

Marquinhos - 6.0: A surprisingly quiet and shaky performance from the captain. While he completed a high percentage of his passes (96%), he looked vulnerable at the back. He won only one of his three duels and looked a step off the pace. We expect more leadership and solidity from a player of his calibre, and today he just didn't provide it. A forgettable outing for the Brazilian.

Ilya Zabarnyi - 6.5: A decent, if unspectacular, performance from the defender. He was solid in possession, boasting a 94% pass accuracy, and did well to recover the ball five times. He also made a couple of key interceptions. However, like the rest of the backline, he was part of a unit that conceded too many chances to a less-fancied opponent. Room for improvement but he wasn't the biggest problem.

Warren Zaïre-Emery - 6.0: Played in a defensive role but didn't look entirely comfortable. He was tidy on the ball but lacked the defensive bite needed for the position today. He lost two of his three duels and offered little protection down his flank. He was substituted just before the hour mark, which says a lot about his impact, or lack thereof. We know he's a phenomenal talent but this wasn't his day.

Midfielders

Lucas Beraldo - 6.5: A mixed bag from Beraldo. On one hand, he was a tackling machine, winning four of his five attempts and showing great combativeness. On the other, he was dispossessed three times and lost the ball on 11 occasions, which is far too high for a midfielder. He put in a shift, but the lack of quality in possession let him down.

Fabián Ruiz - 7.5: One of the few bright spots for PSG. He provided the sublime assist for Barcola's goal and was a creative force throughout. What stood out to us was his defensive contribution; four interceptions is a massive effort for an attacking midfielder. He did lose the ball a bit too often, but his creative spark and defensive work rate were invaluable. A very strong performance.

Vitinha - 5.5: A really disappointing game from Vitinha. An error leading to a shot summed up his sloppy performance. He was loose in possession and his two shots off target from good positions were frustrating to watch. For a player who is usually so composed and dictates play, he looked completely off his game. He was subbed off after 68 minutes, and it was the right call.

Forwards

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - 5.0: Almost anonymous. It was a surprise to see him on the pitch, and then a bigger surprise when he was taken off after just 58 minutes of doing next to nothing. He completed just one dribble and lost possession seven times in his limited touches. We barely noticed him, which is the biggest criticism you can level at a player of his talent. He'll want to forget this game quickly.

Bradley Barcola - 7.0: The goalscorer. He took his chance brilliantly with a clinical right-footed shot to give PSG the lead. That alone earns him a decent rating. However, his overall game was a bit hit-and-miss. He lost five of his six duels and was often wasteful in possession. Still, he did the most important thing a forward can do, and for that, he deserves credit.

Ousmane Dembélé - 5.0: A bizarre outing. He lasted only 27 minutes before being hooked. In that time, he had just 11 touches and did absolutely nothing of note. Whether it was a tactical decision or an injury, it was a completely ineffective cameo. It's hard to give a proper rating, but based on his non-existent impact, it has to be low.

Manager

L. Martínez García - 5.5: His team looked disjointed and lacked ideas for large parts of the game. Dropping points against a mid-table side is simply not good enough for a team with PSG's ambitions and resources. While some individual performances were poor, the overall lack of control and a clear game plan falls on the manager. The substitutions didn't change the game for the better either. A poor day at the office.

Paris FC Player Ratings vs PSG

Here are the Paris FC Player Ratings from the Paris FC vs PSG Player Ratings.

Goalkeeper

Kevin Trapp - 6.0: He conceded one goal but could do little about Barcola's precise finish. What was concerning was that he only made one save all game, despite PSG having more shots on target. He wasn't tested much, but he also didn't command his area with the authority you'd want against the champions. A quiet, slightly underwhelming day for the keeper.

Defenders

Dimitri Lucea - 6.0: Played only the first half and had a busy 45 minutes. He won an impressive number of duels but was also dribbled past and made errors leading to shots. It felt like a chaotic performance where he was throwing himself into tackles to make up for positional lapses. An energetic but ultimately erratic display before being substituted at halftime.

Otávio - 7.5: An absolute rock at the back for Paris. The stats are incredible: 10 duels won out of 14, three tackles won, and 100% pass accuracy. He was everywhere, making crucial challenges and nullifying PSG's attacks time and again. He was a true warrior and a key reason why his team got a result. A fantastic defensive display.

Adama Camara - 6.5: A solid partner for Otávio. He was strong in his duels and made three important interceptions to break up play. While he was dispossessed a couple of times, his defensive contribution was positive overall. He held his own against a world-class frontline, which is a commendable effort.

Samir Chergui - 6.5: Another solid component of the Paris defence. He was positionally sound, making three interceptions and a couple of clearances. He kept things simple and tidy at the back, playing his part in a disciplined team performance. He didn't do anything spectacular, but he did his job effectively.

Diego Coppola - 7.0: Very impressive from the defender. He was excellent on the ball with 93% pass accuracy and even managed to get a shot on target. Defensively, he was solid, winning all of his duels and recovering the ball six times. A really well-rounded and confident performance from Coppola, who looked comfortable against top opposition.

Midfielders

Rudy Matondo - 6.0: Worked hard but lacked quality. He won a decent number of duels and drew fouls, but he was also sloppy in possession and offered little going forward. It was a performance full of running but short on end product. He did his part for the team structure but didn't stand out individually.

Moses Simon - 6.5: A frustrating player to watch. He delivered an impressive four accurate crosses from six attempts, showing his quality from wide areas. However, he also lost possession a staggering 16 times, which killed so many potential attacks. If he could clean up that part of his game, he would be a much bigger threat. A mixed performance.

Pierre Lees-Melou - 8.0: The captain led by example. He delivered the crucial assist for the equalizer and was the creative hub for his team, creating three chances. He was also disciplined, winning his tackles and using the ball intelligently. A true leader's performance that inspired his team to a famous result. Man of the match for the home side, without a doubt.

Jonathan Ikoné - 7.0: Looked like Paris's most likely source of a breakthrough before he was substituted. He created two chances, including one big chance, and was always looking to make things happen. He did lose the ball a lot, but that's the risk you take with direct players like him. An exciting and impactful performance, it was a surprise to see him taken off.

Forwards

Willem Geubbels - 5.5: A tough day for the striker. He was isolated for large parts of the game and struggled to get involved, managing only 20 touches. He missed a big chance and was caught offside twice, which highlights his struggles to impact the game positively. He worked hard but it just wasn't his day.

Marshall Munetsi - 6.0: A bundle of energy but lacked composure. He had three shots but only one was on target, and he seemed to snatch at his chances. While his work rate and aerial presence were a handful, his final product was missing. He ran his socks off for the team but couldn't provide the clinical edge needed.

Substitutes

Alimani Gory - 9.0: The hero of the hour. Came off the bench and scored the all-important equalizer in the 76th minute, along with the winner in the dying seconds of the game. While we don't have his full stats, his impact was immeasurable, and he single-handedly earned his team a win against the champions. A game-changing performance.

Manager

A. Kombouare - 8.0: A tactical masterclass from the Paris boss. He set his team up perfectly to frustrate PSG, and they executed his game plan to perfection. They were disciplined, hard-working, and brave. His substitutions were inspired, with Alimani Gory coming off the bench to score the vital equalizer. He completely outwitted his opposite number today and fully deserved the point.
