Sevilla 0-2 Real Madrid Player Ratings: Los Blancos Manages a Hard-Fought Victory Despite The Andalusians Being Reduced to Nine Men

Real Madrid somehow managed to bring three points from Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan despite Sevilla being reduced to nine men in the second half. Madrid won the penultimate game of La Liga 0-2 after second half strikes from Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, as the match was hit by a controversial red card in the first half when Loic Bade was sent off after he brought down the Frenchman, denying him a clear run on the goal with only the goalkeeper to beat. Sevilla were reduced to nine men at the start of the second half after substitute Isaac Romero's nasty challenge on Aurelien Tchouameni.
Both teams played in a mediocre manner in the early going of the match because there was little attacking skill or inventiveness. Loic Bade brought down Kylian Mbappe during a counterattack by Real Madrid in the 12th minute, and the defender was sent off. After Sevilla were reduced to 10 men, the Los Blancos started to have a grip on the game. Endrick was passed in with the first goal attempt. The Norwegian's first save of the game came as Nyland was there to get a hand on the Brazilian's shot, denying it. Madrid had been proactive from the left side of the pitch, with Mbappe running and Fran Garcia giving good cover.
Federico Valverde, who got the ball after a few deflections, gave Real Madrid a good chance to take the lead. Fortunately, the Uruguayan's shot went out for a corner after taking a significant deflection and fooling Sevilla custodian Nylan. Sevilla advanced in the 38th minute, and the Belgian sent a cross to Sanchez via Lukebakio. As Lunin attempted to convert, the latter moved in on him. But Sanchez's offside call put a stop to the home team's onslaught. Luka Modric's incredible ball to Mbappe on the outside of his foot gave Madrid the finest opportunity of the first half. With a defender on his back, the Frenchman broke in on goal, but his flashed effort missed the mark. Just a few minutes after that, Madrid defender Jacobo Ramon slipped while controlling the ball, which allowed Pascual to break in on the goal, but his shot hit the side netting. Sevilla could have taken the lead despite being a man less but was sent wide by the striker.
Sevilla were down to nine men just a few minutes into the second half. Substitute Isaac Romero's tackle on Aurelien Tchouameni is considered extremely risky. The referee changes his ruling from a yellow to a clear red as VAR steps in. Mbappe moved forward with the ball and attempted to score in the 56th minute. After a furious altercation between the players, in which Salas blocked the effort and sent the shot out for a corner, the referee stepped in and defused the situation. Shortly afterwards, Modric's superb cutback found Gudelj on the line, who denied Valverde's attempt on goal. The play was ultimately called back due to offside.
As was to be expected, Madrid had been attacking from the start of the second half. However, despite having nine men, Sevilla had been able to stave off their opponents with relative ease. Mbappe entered the box and struck the crossbar in the 71st minute. Since he was unable to get a hand on the shot, Nyland had no chance there. When Modric found Mbappe, who took a touch before shooting it into the bottom corner past an outstretched Nyland, Real Madrid eventually broke down Sevilla's nine men, giving the Blancos the lead.
Victor Munoz passed it to Gonzalo Garcia, who headed it across to an open Bellingham, giving Real Madrid the victory. Madrid increased their lead when he headed it in from close range. Real Madrid continued their dominance in the fixture as they extended their unbeaten streak to 13. The Andalusians have only avoided defeat twice across that 13-game winless run. Let's have a look at the Sevilla vs Real Madrid player ratings.

The Turkish winger did not offer much offensively but was good with his distribution, circulating the play. He maintained a passing accuracy of 84 percent.
