Founded in 1902, Real Madrid, or Los Blancos, is famously known for its pure royalty in the footballing world. The club earned its name from King Alfonso XII, thereby gaining high status from its early foundation. They are considered by many, as the greatest football club in the world due to the numerous accolades garnered over the years.

Santiago Bernabéu, located in central Madrid, has been the home stadium of the club since 1947. “Hala Madrid y nada más” is the anthem of the team written by RedOne and Manuel Jabois. Real Madrid enjoys a huge fanfare around the world. The club has been an active participant in La Liga since its inception. This league consists of 20 teams who compete to become the best in the country.

Origins of Real Madrid

Originating from the city of Madrid, Real Madrid has been dominating football since the 20th century. The club, underwent a transformation beyond evaluation during the 1950s and 1960s, winning five consecutive European trophies and numerous league titles, making them a giant in Spanish and European football.

The club has had many influential managers who have shaped its stature, including Miguel Muñoz, Zinedine Zidane, Vicente del Bosque, Leo Beenhakker, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and Luis Molowny among many more, are some names that are considered as one of the most influential managers of the club by many.

History and Top Players

FIFA recognized Real Madrid as the greatest club of the 20th century for their achievements in the game. Remarkable players such as Alfredo Di Stéfano and Ferenc Puskás were part of that era. The 2000s started with the Galácticos, a name given by club president Florentino Pérez after he brought great names to the club such as Ronaldo, Zidane, and David Beckham to create a superstar team.

On June 26, 2009, Real Madrid announced their greatest signing Cristiano Ronaldo for a record-breaking £80 million (€94 million) as he would become the club’s all-time great, breaking multiple records.
