Summary
WSG Tirol took on Real Madrid in a club friendly on 12th August, 2025, at 7:00 PM (GMT), at the Tivoli Stadion Tirol in Innsbruck, Austria. WSG Tirol are unbeaten in the league so far with two wins in two games, while Real Madrid are set to start their league campaign against Osasuna later this week.
Real Madrid started as the better of the two teams, as they kept possession quite well and regulated the flow of play from flank to flank. Arda Guler came close in the opening minutes as he saw his shot fly off the crossbar. In the 10th minute of the game, Guler's cross found Eder Militao in the box, who headed the ball in past a helpless Adam Stejskal, who seemed to lose his footing while trying to save the looping header from the Brazilian. Just three minutes later, the Turk found Kylian Mbappe with an incisive pass inside the box, which the Frenchman took in his stride neatly with a swift turn and finished it past Tirol's goalkeeper with his left foot to double the lead for the Los Blancos. Madrid finished the half strongly while Tirol tried to look for answers.
In the second half, Mbappe scored again in the 59th minute to triple the lead for Madrid after bluffing Tirol's goalkeeper to go down early. Rodrygo scored the fourth goal of the game just minutes before the full-time whistle to top off a brilliant team effort. Here are the WSG Tirol vs Real Madrid Player Ratings.

Here are Sportdunia's WSG Tirol Player Ratings:
Goalkeeper:
Adam Stejskal - 5/10
Stejskal should have done better for Militao's goal, as the Czech goalkeeper seemed to lose his footing way too easily. He had little to do with the other two goals, as both of them were well taken.
Defenders:
Marco Boras - 4/10
Boras struggled a bit against the likes of Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe, as their pace was too much to handle for the Croatian international. Mbappe got the better of him on numerous occasions and left him stranded for Madrid's third goal of the game.
Jamie Lawrence - 5/10
Lawrence made quite a few interceptions in and around the penalty box and seemed the only defender to have played well against the star-studded Real Madrid attack.
Lukas Schweighofer - 5.5/10
Lukas Schweighofer played well with the ball at his feet and made a good number of forward passes. Unfortunately, he failed to track Mbappe's run for Madrid's second goal of the game.

Midfielders:
Christian Huetz - 5/10
The right back went up against Vinicius Jr and fared well for most of the game. Huetz minimised Vinicius' threat to a great extent but offered very little while going forward.
Yannick Votter - 6/10
Votter failed to control the game for WSG Tirol, which he does so good for the Austrian club. The Austrian failed to keep the ball at his feet and failed to track the runs of Arda Guler who caused the most damage.
Valentino Muller - 5.5/10
Muller was too predictable with his passing and failed to cover the spaces in the midfield which were exploited well by the likes of Dani Ceballos and Brahim Diaz.
Benjamin Bockle - 5/10
Bockle had a hard time defending against Brahim Diaz but got the better of him at times. Offensively, he did play two good balls up front but the forwards didn't read them well.
Moritz Wels - 5.5/10
Moritz Wels tried his best as the number 10 to make things happen but got little to no help from his compatriots.
Florain Weider - 4.5/10
Weider made a few good turns and tracked back well to win the ball back. Other than that, he was as dull as his team.
Forwards:
Lukas Hinterseer - 4/10
Hinterseer got a half chance in the first half but was tackled really well by Tchouameni. He got subbed off in the 36th minute.

Manager:
Thomas Silberberger - 5.5/10
Silberberger went in with a 3-4-2-1 formation which seemed to be suicide move against Madrid's excellent attacking prowess. His team never looked to be in the game, and couldn't maintain possession for most of the game. They gave away the ball way too easily and left a lot of space behind while defending.

Goalkeeper:
Thibaut Courtois - 6/10
The Belgian goalkeeper didn't have much to do in the first half. Courtois was majorly untested for the rest of the game and excelled in playing the ball from the back.
Defenders:
Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6/10
The Englishman was quite lively on the right-hand side of the pitch, making darting runs into the opposition's danger areas. Trent did drift infield at times, making an extra man in the midfield and regulating the play well. He put in a couple of good crosses too, but his teammates were unable to find the back of the net. Defensively, he was caught out of position at times.
Eder Militao - 7/10
The Brazilian was up and running in his second game after his return from an injury. Militao played well with the ball at his feet as he made a good number of forward passes from the deep. He stepped forward at times to make a tackle or two and was quite successful in winning them. He scored a looping header from an Arda Guler cross to give Madrid the lead.
Dean Huijsen - 6.5/10
Dean Huijsen seems to be leveling up with each passing game. The Spaniard was on point with his tackling, covered the spaces well, and held the defensive line firmly.
Alvaro Carreras - 6.5/10
Back where it all started, Alvaro Carreras had a decent debut for the Los Blancos. The Spaniard took some time to settle into the game and then showed a glimpse of what lies ahead. He was quick with his decision-making and made quite a few forward runs into the opposition box. Defensively, he looked a bit shaky at times but managed to cover ground quickly.

Midfielders:
Arda Guler - 7.5/10
The Turk seems to settle well in his new role in the midfield. Arda Guler's passing was crisp, and his twists and turns in the middle of the park were a joy to watch. He made a good number of runs with the ball from his half and played nice line-breaking passes for Vinicius and Mbappe to latch on to. He provided two assists, one for Militao and the other for Mbappe, and was undoubtedly Madrid's best player on the pitch.
Aurelien Tchouameni - 7/10
Tchouameni had a solid game at the heart of the midfield, making important interceptions and breaking the passage of play. The Frenchman used his physicality well to ward off the opposition midfielders and also played a good number of forward passes. Provided a lovely through ball for Mbappe to make it three for Madrid on the day.
Dani Ceballos - 6/10
Dani Ceballos was tasked with controlling the tempo of the game, and he did a pretty decent job. The Spaniard brought his experience to the game, as he held the ball well and regulated the flow of play with ease.
Forwards:
Brahim Diaz - 6.5/10
The Moroccan did well on the right flank, taking on defenders and leaving them for good. His first touch was neat, and he found pockets of spaces with ease, which he took full advantage of. Brahim Diaz put his quick feet to good use and got into dangerous positions in and around WSG Tirol's penalty box.
Kylian Mbappe - 8/10
Kylian Mbappe shone again for Real Madrid in this friendly game. The Frenchman dropped deep at times to combine with the midfielders and made incisive runs into the box. His dribbling was top-notch, as he got past the defenders with little to no difficulty and took on a few shots on his own. Mbappe doubled the lead for Madrid with a swift turn inside the box after receiving a delicious pass from Guler. Scored another in the second half after bluffing the goalkeeper to go down early.
Vinicius Jr. - 6/10
The Brazilian was lively on the left wing, showcasing his dazzling skills down the byline. Vinicius seemed to release the ball at the right time and made darting runs with the ball in the opposition's penalty box. However, he combined little with Mbappe up front and tried doing things on his own, which slowed Madrid's gameplay at times.
Substitutes:
Andriy Lunin - 6/10
Rodrygo - 7/10
Dani Carvajal - 6/10

David Alaba - 6/10

Fran Garcia - 6/10
Raul Asencio - NA
Daniel Yanez - NA
Thiago Pitarch Pinar - NA
Roberto Martin Uruel - NA
Manager:
Xabi Alonso - 7.5/10
The German played a 4-3-3 formation with the majority of his midfield players out with injury. Tchouameni played as a lone defensive midfielder while he showed faith in Guler again. Madrid looked better on the ball and played a good number of passes between them. The players seemed to play closer to each other and pressed like a unit - something which hasn't been seen for a long time. The players took their chances well and finished off the game on a good note.
