On 3 April 1905, Boca Juniors was founded by a group of young Italians. The house where the meeting was arranged was Esteban Baglietto's, and the other four people who attended were Alfredo Scarpatti, Santiago Sana, and brothers Juan Farenga and Teodoro Farenga. Other important founding members include Arturo Penney, Marcelino Vergara, Luis Cerezo, Adolfo Taggio, Giovanelli, Donato Abbatángelo, and Bertolini. In 1913, Boca Juniors first time promoted to the Primera Division. It was possible when the Argentine Football Association decided to expand the format of the league and increase the number of teams from six to 15.
Boca Juniors started their journey in the Darsena Sur, its located in their neighborhood, Buenos Aires. The club then used three grounds in the Isla Demarchi area between 1908 and 1912. In the first year in the Primera Division, the club didn't an own stadium and played the home games on the pitches of other teams, likely in Estudiantes de Buenos Aires in Palermo, but also in Avellaneda.
La Bombonera currently has a capacity of around 57,200. The club's popularity makes tickets hard to come by, especially for the Superclásico game against River Plate. Boca fans are known as Los Xeneizes after the Genoese immigrants who founded the team and lived in La Boca in the early 20th century.
The club has been producing many youth players. Juniors have changed their policies, and they have been more focused on earning more money from the academy graduates. They have been growing the youth academy to produce more youth talents and to sell them to the big clubs.
