BGMI 4.1 Update Leaks: New Hot Drop, Map Changes & Other New Features

After the Halloween and Diwali festivities in the virtual world of BGMI, the players are in for another treat. Like every year, a lot of expectations have been riding on this year's BGMI winter update. With the BGMI 4.1 Update leaks coming in, it seems Krafton will exceed the expectations one more time.

From the new Penguin City hot drop to significant changes in Rozhok's Water City, the BGMI community can expect a lot of fun and frosty treats for November and December. Here's everything we know so far from the BGMI 4.1 Update leaks.

BGMI 4.1 Update Leaks: What's New?

From the first look at the BGMI 4.1 Winter update, we can see that three major features are coming into our favourite battle royale game. The first is the new hot drop, known as the Penguin City. Major changes have been made in the Water City of Rozhok, which will go live as the update rolls into the game. Lastly, we have a brand new feature in the game, where players can carry a crate onto their shoulders and travel with it (Only while being on foot). Let us dive deeper into these new features.

BGMI Penguin City: New Hot Drop

Previously, the BGMI 4.1 update release date and expected features shared a glimpse of the arrival of something massive. However, the community didn't expect such changes in the game so soon.

Similar to Spooky Soiree, there will be two hot drops of BGMI Penguin City on the map. Other than these, there will be a lot of mini hot drops/interest in every map. Players can experience the gloomy and cold weather of Penguin City as soon as they land on the island with their parachute. Unlike the Spooky Soiree hot drops, the Penguin City island is larger in size.

The hot drop has taken the inspiration of the winter update hot drop of 2024 and the Igloo village of the Dragon Ball-Z theme. As it has been, there will be no shortages of weapons in the hot drop. The island is covered in snow and filled with small buildings, which players can use as hard cover. In addition to all the frosty treats, players can enjoy the featured cannon on the island. Locate the bus-like structure in the middle of Penguin Island. Through the use of this van, you can launch yourself in a direction and travel a large distance in a short time.

Crate Carrying Feature

Another update we saw from the BGMI 4.1 Update Leaks is a new feature where players can carry a crate. With this feature, players can take a crate with them to a hard cover and loot it without having to worry about being taken down by enemies. Here are the steps:

• Get closer to the crate, and you will see a ‘transport’ option.
• Click on it and your character will carry the crate on their shoulder.
• Now you can take this crate anywhere. However, even when you sprint with the crate on your shoulder, you will have a slow pace.
• If you want to put the crate down, there is a ‘put down’ option. Click on it and put the crate down.

But can we carry the crate while we are driving a car? Well, the answer is NO! When you are carrying the crate on your shoulders, you will not even get the ‘get in’ option when you go close to the car.

Rozhok Water City Revamp

In addition to the new features, we are also going to see a revamp of a popular place on the Erangel map. Rozhok's water city has been a featured drop location for casual players and even the top 10 best BGMI players in India. Naturally, a revamp is due in the game, which is finally coming as per the BGMI 4.1 Update Leaks.

The players will no longer experience the puddle of water everywhere, slowing them down. There has been a massive revamp where there are multiple buildings in a respectable gap between them. The water is still there, but the whole area has been revamped as a port, with a modern look. There are cranes, fishing boats, and warehouses in addition to the buildings.

How the weapon availability will be is still unknown. However, after the revamp, players will have multiple ways in which they can make rotations in the map.
