There is no second thought that Esports in India has been growing over the past few years at a rapid pace. It is mainly driven by the popularity of mobile titles and more participation of younger players from small and tier two cities of India. Just recently, the Indian government, via the Online Gaming Bill 2025, acknowledged that esports will be treated as traditional sports and will be promoted with the same efforts. Reliance Digital Announces Level Up Season 2 Featuring BGMI LAN Event

The second season of BGMI Reliance Digital Level Up Season 2 Lan brings several changes and upgrades. The very first appreciative initiative is that the prize pool for the BGMI LAN event has been set at ₹6,00,000. Scheduled to begin with nationwide qualifiers on the Jio Games app from September 5th, 2025, the tournament now places a single title, Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI as we know it. BGMI has become one of the most popular mobile esports games in India, and its inclusion gives the event a chance to be highlighted more.

Not to mention, the event will be in LAN format, where qualifying teams will compete in person on a professional stage. For underdog squads, this is a particularly significant opportunity, as the road for professional esports pros, especially LAN events, mainly goes through BGIS (Battlegrounds India Series), and most of the official and third-party tournaments are invite-only.

This event will be in partnership with OPPO India. This is also OPPO India's first time venturing into Esports as a sponsor, which makes it interesting, as other brands like iQOO, OnePlus, and Realme have already made a big presence in BGMI esports events. How to Register for BGMI Reliance Digital Level Up Season 2 Lan

As mentioned earlier, Players across India can take part in Level Up Season 2 by registering through the Jio Games app. The process is simple and fully mobile-friendly:

1. Download the Jio Games app : Available on both Google Play Store (Android) and Apple App Store (iOS).
2. Sign up or log in: Create an account using your mobile number or existing credentials. Once signed in, you will land on the homepage.
3. Go to the Esports section: On the bottom-right corner of the app, tap the “Esports” tab.
4. Find the tournament: Look for Reliance Digital Level Up Season 2 in the list of live and upcoming events.
5. Create your team: Enter your BGMI ID along with the IDs of your teammates. Make sure all details are accurate, as these will be verified during the tournament.
6. Complete registration: Once your team is set, proceed with the registration. You will receive confirmation within the app.

The season carried a ₹20 lakh prize pool with some of big names like OMEN, Intel, and HyperX as sponsors. The CS2 segment in particular was faced with technical issues, affecting match flow and raising questions about readiness.
