New Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Free Trial Announced with Major Franchise Updates

Activision recently made an announcement regarding a Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Free Trial. This free trial will let players play the game before deciding whether they want to buy it. Both the Multiplayer and Zombies modes will be available starting on August 18th (with an additional Double XP weekend) worldwide.

In a post made to the Call of Duty blog, the team expressed their appreciation for the support and feedback from fans within the community. They acknowledged that many fans feel that some of the previous titles in the Call of Duty Series did not meet their expectations; therefore, the COD BO7 Free trial announced to provide those fans with the opportunity to play Black Ops 7 and experience what the game has to offer.

Developers view Black Ops 7 as the “spiritual successor” of Black Ops 2, one of the most loved games in the Call of Duty franchise. Developers are saying that there has been a lot of effort and support in developing from Black Ops 2 into the building of Black Ops 7, and they hope that through this COD BO7 free trial, Players will see this passion. Activision also discussed its future direction with the Call of Duty Franchise.

Activision Not to Offer Back-to-Back Sequels

Activision will now take a completely different approach to their Call of Duty franchise. They have confirmed that they will not alternate the years that they release a Modern Warfare versus a Black Ops game.

They aim to focus on providing an entirely different game each time, rather than just slightly updating the same game every couple of years.

Black Ops 7 will see expanded, more ambitious season support than ever. The developer of Black Ops 7 indicated that Season 01 will be "the largest live season in Call of Duty history."

Furthermore, the announcement concluded with confidence in the long-term vision for the Call of Duty franchise and indicated that development teams from all studios are collaborating to define the next era of the Call of Duty franchise.
