Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Is About to Go Offline for Good

Activision has confirmed the Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Server Shutdown will take place on April 17, 2026. After that date, matchmaking, progression systems, and online access will stop working. The decision follows the game’s removal from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in May 2025, when new downloads and purchases were disabled.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Shutdown Details

The Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Server Shutdown marks the final stage of the service wind-down that began last year. Players who still have Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile installed can continue playing until April 17, 2026, but no new content has been added since its removal from storefronts.

All COD Points players buy for Warzone Mobile must be spent before the game servers close. The points will not move to the console or PC versions. Players can still obtain operators, weapon blueprints and all other store products until the system shuts down.

Warzone Experience on Mobile

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile launched on March 21, 2024, adopting the large-scale battle royale design with Verdansk (Superstore, Downtown) and Rebirth Island respawn modes. Cross-progression with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III enabled shared weapon levelling and battle pass progress. The multiplayer system, which supported 120-player lobbies and shared loadouts, was created by Activision Shanghai Studio, Beenox, Digital Legends Entertainment, and Solid State Studios.

Platform Direction After the Shutdown

The Call of Duty Warzone Mobile Server Down marks a change in the company's mobile strategic approach. Warzone Mobile maintained console equality through its implementation of Gulag returns and a complete map rotation system. In contrast, Call of Duty Mobile delivers shorter match formats through its playlist system, which includes Nuketown variants, Zombies events and seasonal updates designed specifically for touch controls.
