Supercell Announces New Clash of Clans Update With a Plethora of Changes and Some New Additions

Summary
Finally, Supercell has officially unveiled the Clash of Clans April 2026 Update. Arriving next week, the update is set to bring some wholesome changes to the in-game meta and directly affect competitive gameplay during the upcoming Clan War Leagues.
The Clash of Clans Update is expected to go live around April 27th, introducing a new Siege Machine, a new Guardian for TH18 players, along with a long list of necessary Balance Changes.
Clash of Clans April 2026 Update: New Additions
As it is with every update, Supercell never fails to push new content for its endgame players. And with this coc update, the developers are introducing a new Siege Machine, a Guardian, and a brand new Epic Equipment for everybody's special Dragon Duke!
New Siege Machine: Sky Wagon
The Sky Wagon, as it sounds, acts as an Air Troop Launcher, carrying troops straight into the base. As per Supercell's video, the Sky Wagon will attack at least more than 5 times on the enemy base, dropping Balloon, Baby Dragon, and Minions with each of those attacks.

As reported previously in our Clash of Clans new April changes article, the new Clash of Clans Sky Wagon will open new strategy ideas for air attackers spamming Electro Dragons and Dragon Duke. We are yet to find out if the Sky Wagon will only be available in TH18 or if it can be unlocked earlier.
New Guardian: Logger
A brand new Guardian is coming as well for all the TH18 players! The new Logger works exactly like the Log launcher, but as a defence troop now against both ground and air troops.

The logger throws out a projectile of logs towards any troop within 10 tiles of its reach. And if it strikes your troop, beware, as with the Logger on guard, you are done for! The Guardians were first introduced as defensive troops, defending the new Town Hall last year during the Clash of Clans Town Hall 18 Update.

New Dragon Duke Epic Equipment: Electro Fangs
The new CoC hero Dragon Duke is getting a new Epic Equipment as well! Introducing the new Electro Fangs. With the equipment, the Dragon Duke will be able to chain his attacks through targets, much like the Electro Dragon.

The Electro Fangs chomp a chain reaction through the buildings surrounding the Dragon Duke's targets. The Electrickery damage decreases by 20%with each chain. According to Reddit leaks, the Dragon Duke is also set to receive an Equipment Boost event, where his newly released Epic Equipment, among other Equipments, will be boosted to the highest level.
Clash of Clans Ranked Mode Changes
As discussed previously in our Clash of Clans Ranked Mode Update April 2026, the developers are finally bringing a major overhaul to the Ranked mode with some major reworks in the Legends League to make progressing across the Legend Leagues more exciting and smoother.
Legend League Reworks
The Legends League will now be split into three tiers, as announced earlier, namely:
- Legend I
- Legend II
- Legend III
Each of the three tiers will have the same Star and League Bonus, but will have different Battle Modifiers, namely:
Legend III | Legend II | Legend I |
|---|---|---|
Weekly Tournaments | Weekly Tournaments | 4-week Tournaments |
24 battles per week | 30 battles per week | 8 battles per day |
Top 5 players per group are promoted each week | Top 3 players per group are promoted each week | Players below Rank 10,000 are demoted each week |
Uses Legend III Battle Modifiers | Uses Legend II Battle Modifiers | Uses Legend I Battle Modifiers |
Changes in the League Decay
There are further changes in the place, with Players now being demoted after 4 weeks of inactivity instead of the 1-week policy previously. Once demoted, the player can choose to stay inactive for a further 4 weeks without the fear of another demotion, with the process continuing until the players reach their respective Town Hall floor.
Clan War Leagues (CWL) Expansion
The CWL is undergoing an expansion, and from this month itself! Six years after its introduction, the CWL is expanding with four new leagues: Titan III, II, I, and Legend! With the Legend League arriving in CWL as well, the number of bonus medal slots and medals in general is getting reworked.
Titan and Legend Leagues will have 5 and 6 base bonuses to hand out, respectively. While clans ranking above Champion III can only battle in 15v15 formats, new clans can start their journey from Master I at max. Oh, there will be Battle Modifiers in CWL as well for all the newly introduced leagues!
