The Clash Royale Merge Tactics update Season 7 brings a longer competitive season, marking a significant change to the game’s format. Dagger Duchess Enters as New Ruler

One of the biggest additions in the Clash Royale Merge Tactics update Season 7 is the new ruler, Dagger Duchess. She can be unlocked at 1600 Starsteel. This special ability gives a Dagger Equipment item that any troop can equip before going into battle. After equipping the Dagger Equipment item, the troop's range and hit speed are increased. It can be equipped to a Marksman to increase attacking range or a Warrior to buff burst damage in the middle of battle timing.

Newly Added Traits

Here is a list of traits added in the Merge Tactics Clash Royale update:

Dragon (Skeleton Dragon, Baby Dragon)

With two units on the field, Dragons receive 50% reduced melee damage and deal 50% increased melee damage.

• Hinder (Wizard, Witch)

  Each hit has a 40% chance to slow the enemy's hit and movement speeds for three seconds, introducing control elements into battle.

• Marksman (Archer, Dart Goblin, Musketeer, Royal Giant)

  Marksmen have +1 range and deal bonus damage to enemies four tiles or more away.

• Tank (Knight, Valkyrie, Giant Skeleton, Monk)

  These troops heal quickly when HP is below half, and the maximum HP increase scales to 80% at four troops.

• Warrior (Barbarian, Goblin Demolisher, Prince, Skeleton King)

  Warriors increase damage and attack speed eight seconds after the battle commences.

Concurrently, Blaster, Brawler, Brutalist, P.E.K.K.A, and Ranger Traits cycle out temporarily. Giants are reclassified as Titans. Fire Traits return but with different properties. Fire troops have increasing damage or speed bonuses based on troop type. Titans bring resistance or area damage bonuses to nearby allies.

Equipment Modifiers Add Tactical Depth

One of the most interesting aspects of this Merge Tactics Clash Royale Update is the addition of Equipment Modifiers via Starsteel Road. At the start of every battle, Equipment is found under the bench. The player needs to drag it to the desired troop to apply an attack or defense bonus. Every piece of equipment has a life span and will wear out after several hits.
