Amidst a sea of changes in the latest CS2 update, the HE grenade change has surely caught everyone's attention. The devs have finally adjusted the HE grenade's impact based on its trajectory. Earlier, the damage count for grenades, which used to explode mid-air (closer to the ground), was the same as that of a ground explosion.

Meanwhile, the sounds of a handful of knives have been adjusted. On the other hand, the devs have also fixed bugs and optimised the overall game to enhance everyone's experience. Lastly, they updated Stronghold, a community map, to its latest version and implemented some QoL (quality of life) changes.

Gameplay Changes

Damage from HE grenades that explode mid-air near the ground will no longer be calculated as if they exploded on the ground.

Sound Changes

Various Knife Sound Adjustments.

Miscellaneous Changes

Performance optimisations for exploding chickens.
Fixed a map scripting bug where Entity.SetOwner wasn't accepting undefined.
Added a method for community maps to save modified user settings. Running 'host_writeconfig_with_prompt' will prompt the user for permission to save. If accepted, some of the modified settings (radar, viewmodel, safezones, etc) will be kept after the map exits.
Community maps are now restricted to a smaller list of allowed console commands.
