DCKO Is the New DC Mobile Fighting Game Fans Didn't See Coming

Another DC Universe game will step into the ring, and it's a free-to-play mobile title named DCKO. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is officially in the business of making a DC fighting game. Unfortunately, it's not Injustice 3, but still great news for mobile gaming fans.

A brand-new studio, Drop Fake (former employees of EA and Kabam), has been given the responsibility to make this 2v2 tag-team DCKO Fighting Game. Even though there's no official DCKO release date, Drop Fake has confirmed the game will release in 2027 for iOS and Android devices. Everyone's favourite Batman to Doomsday, most Heroes and villains will be part of it. Let's take a look at the tag-team fighter as DCKO Game announced.

A Brand-New DC Comics Tag-Team Fighting Game Is Finally on the Way

Ever since Drop Fake revealed the DCKO Game announced (along with its trailer) on July 20, 2026, it became the talk of the town among DC universe fans. It's a 2v2 tag team fighting game where players can fight with their favourite characters from DC comics.

They can assemble a team of superheroes and villains to perform unique in-game combos. These things seem quite generic, considering it's a tag-team fighting genre.

Interestingly, DCKO Mobile Game will feature both PvP and PvE modes, along with leaderboards. The mechanics seem quite generic, as it follows the standard tag-team format. Players need to earn XP and in-game currency to upgrade all characters to strengthen them for the online mode. Surprisingly, that's not it. Drop Fake has also mentioned a story campaign where fans will encounter Amazo's Robot army, the Demon hordes of Trigon, Ra's al Ghul's League of Assassins, and more from the original comics.

According to the title's creative director, Gene Campbell, it'll be a great initiative considering the number of features they're bringing in on a mobile device. The initial discussions with the developers revealed that it'll be released in 2027.

As discussed, several DC characters have already been seen in the official trailer. Therefore, it's quite evident that a bunch of roles and maps will be available at launch. Judging from the trailer, the maps include Lazarus Pits, Themiscyra, the Batcave, and more. Moreover, here's an overview of the characters:
