Defend Sanctuary Hill Quest in DuneCrawl; Tips, Tricks and Steps to Complete

The DuneCrawl Defend Sanctuary Hill quest is one of the first main missions you’ll complete in the game, and it helps you learn the basics of combat, mounts, and large-scale battles. In this quest, you need to protect the village docks from enemy attacks while slowly pushing back the invading forces.

Along the way, you’ll fight waves of enemies, ride mounts, use cannons, and even take control of a dune crawler. This guide will explain how you DuneCrawl Sanctuary Hill Quest easily.

How to Complete DuneCrawl Sanctuary Hill Quest?

As soon as you start the game, you’ll see a villager standing nearby who asks for help defending the docks. Follow him and start breaking the crates along the way to collect useful items. On the left side, you’ll spot a green weapon crate. Break it open to get a hunting bow. Use the bow or your cutlass to take out the enemies ahead.

To move forward, shoot an arrow at the target to open the door on the right. In the next area, you’ll face your first wave of enemies. Defeat them all to unlock the next path. These enemies will drop healing potions and other useful loot, so make sure to pick everything up.

Keep heading toward Steedle Farm. Enemies will be waiting at the entrance, so clear them out before going inside. It is the primary step for completing the Sanctuary Hill Quest in DuneCrawl.

Riding the Steedle to the Docks

At the farm, a villager will ask you to grab some bug gack to heal the Steedles. Once they’re healed, you can use them as mounts. Press E to mount up.

Ride toward the docks, fighting off enemies along the way. You’ll run into multiple enemy groups, including two full waves in the next section. Defeat them all to continue.

Eventually, you’ll come across a cracked wall blocking your path. Use a Bombflower to blow it open, then head inside and pass through the shrine to reach the docks.

Saving the Captured Dune Crawler

At the docks, you’ll learn that the jar-headed enemies have captured a sacred dune crawler and are using it to attack the area. The villager will tell you to use the old cannons near the docks to break the chains holding it.
On your way to the cannons, more enemies will try to stop you.

Take them out and keep moving. The dune crawler will fire cannonballs at the docks. Watch the ground carefully. A red circle will appear before a cannonball lands, so stay out of those spots to avoid damage.

When you reach a cannon, grab a cannonball from the ammo bin and fire at the dune crawler until it’s destroyed. Once it’s down, climb aboard using the ladders on the side.

Destroy the Vassal Outpost and Kiln Crawler

On top of the dune crawler, you’ll meet the Old Keeper. He’ll ask you to heal the crawler’s legs using bug gack from a nearby keg. After that, you’ll even get to name your dune crawler.

Your final task is to destroy the Kiln Crawler and the Vassal Outpost. Use your crawler’s shield to block incoming cannon fire, then fire back using its cannons to destroy the enemy weapons. Once everything is defeated, return to the village docks and talk to the shaman to finish the quest.
