Dunecrawl Healing Guide: How to Heal Yourself and Your Crab

Whether you are taking damage on foot or your Crab Crawler is under attack, knowing how healing works can save you from failing a mission. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to heal in Dunecrawl and keep your crab healthy.

Dunecrawl How to Heal Character?

Healing in Dunecrawl is pretty simple once you know where to look. You can recover health by using healing potions, which you’ll find while exploring or buy from vendors in villages. Enemies and bugs you defeat can also drop red healing orbs; pick them up to restore some health instantly.

Your healing potions sit in the hotbar. On PC, you switch to them using the mouse scroll wheel or the number keys (1–6). If you’re on a controller, you’ll use the bumper buttons. There’s no dedicated heal button, so you have to scroll through your items during combat, which can feel a bit awkward when things get difficult.

How to Heal Your Crab in Dunecrawl?

Healing the Crab Crawler works a bit differently. The crab can’t heal itself; you need to help it. In co-op mode, one player should focus on healing the crab. That player has to carry Bug Gack, which you can find on platforms, and use it to repair the crab’s legs while others fight.

If you’re playing solo, an AI assistant can handle the healing for you. However, you’ll need to tell the AI what to do first, since it can’t heal and perform other tasks at the same time.

Due to this, playing in multiplayer is highly recommended. With friends, one player can focus on healing you and the crab while you stay locked into combat, making fights much smoother and less stressful.
