He stated that “content complete” and “content ready” are both different terms.

According to Henderson, it is vital for Rockstar to be at a "content ready" stage of development right now. Henderson points to historical examples of successful launches of games like Red Dead Redemption 2, which were not fully developed months prior to their release, yet were still able to be released successfully.

Henderson believes that based on Rockstar's current development timeline, the current November 19, 2026 release date is still pretty much on the cards.

Although there is some uncertainty remaining due to the unfinished state of GTA 6, the overwhelming majority of credible sources confirm that it is believed to be on a timely schedule.
