HoYoverse has launched an aspect exploration project as another phase in the development of its strategy-adventure title, Honkai: Nexus Anima. Unlike previous stages in the game’s development, this playtest focuses more on quality testing as opposed to the number of testers involved. The upcoming title, Honkai Nexus Anima, was first unveiled back in May last year, with its initial closed beta launch scheduled for 2025.

Gamers who want to experience the playtest should complete their registration for the Honkai Nexus Anima playtest at HoYoLab. The process includes first completing a survey, which leads to the selection process. The testing method is designed to restrict access for all applicants.

The recent updates from DevTalk show that the development team works on three main goals, which include combat improvements, new content creation, and game stability enhancements. Unlike previous versions, the testing process for Honkai Nexus Anima emphasizes quality over quantity of players, akin to patches such as League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 7.1, which prioritize fine-tuning over extensive modifications.

New Areas and Characters Expand the Game

A new district has been added to the city, featuring skyscrapers and interactive zones. Players are able to explore the "Umpurrella" zone when interacting with the other features in the environment. There is an improvement in the night effects of Lia, although there might be some variation in the performances.

There will be new characters that are under development since the designs could still be changed. This process demonstrates the pattern that the developers usually adopt, just like in The Finals Update 10.1.0, where they initially add balance and system adjustments before adding new features.
