GTA 6 on PC at Launch: Here’s a New Way to Enter Vice City Without a Console

Xbox and Microsoft are making their name in cloud gaming services and streaming. In recent events, Xbox has secured the streaming rights to GTA 6, which means players will be able to stream the game remotely. With November 19 around the corner, gamers worldwide are looking forward to GTA 6's global launch.

While this makes playing GTA 6 extra efficient, some speculation has also come up about whether this opens any doors for the PC community. Here is everything we know about the massive deal and whether PC players can access GTA 6 on Day 1 or not.

Microsoft Secures GTA 6 Streaming Rights on Xbox

In their groundbreaking move, Xbox now holds the streaming rights to GTA 6, according to a recent report from The Verge. With the game being currently locked to console players from launch, securing the streaming rights to GTA 6 comes big with their Cloud Gaming feature.

Even though there is no news of a GTA 6 CD version release available yet, players already have a cloud gaming option for the title. This deal also aligns with the timing of Microsoft Xbox reframing its Game Pass thoroughly. With tiered monthly playtime caps and pay-as-you-go hourly subscriptions launching soon, lending possibly the biggest game of the decade through cloud gaming is Xbox’s trump card.

What To Expect From the GTA 6 Cloud Gaming Experience

Here is what you can expect in terms of performance when running Xbox Cloud Gaming GTA 6:

• Resolution & Performance: Xbox Cloud Gaming delivers 1080p to 1440p, depending on internet stability.
• Time Management: Xbox is reportedly restricting streaming hours and offering top-ups for hours of play-as-you-go. As GTA 6 is a long title with reportedly 80+ hours for a full playthrough, you will have to rely on the top-ups to complete the game.

Additionally, you can also pre-purchase the game via official GTA 6 pre-order links from the respective stores.

Xbox Denies GTA 6 PC Streaming Rumors

Despite the fuss about PC players now being able to access GTA 6 on day 1, Xbox has officially denied any possibility of exclusive or PC streams of GTA 6. On the social media platform, Xbox released a statement:

Ultimately, this official clarification completely takes down the rumored Day 1 cloud loophole for PC gamers. While GTA 6 will launch on consoles on November 19, players won't be able to bypass the console exclusivity with Xbox Cloud Gaming.
