Keanu Reeves Could Feature in AAA John Wick Game by Lionsgate, Marking 1st Appearance Since Cyberpunk 2077

A part of John Wick's famous line states, “Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back”, and it might become true in the next couple of years. In a recent turn of events, the John Wick Video Game leaked once the call transcript between Lionsgate and some research division participants went viral.

In a statement made during Q2 2026 earnings, a Lionsgate movie executive showed keen interest in gaming opportunities. Surprisingly, the exec dropped big names, like John Wick and Saw. He also mentioned the phrase “will be announced soon," potentially hinting that these films might venture into gaming. Moreover, he also highlighted the success of John Wick Live in Las Vegas, which also ensures the popularity of the series.

The John Wick series, or the character in particular, has seen very few appearances in the world of gaming. While the collab with Fortnite was a big hit, John Wick Hex has surely attracted loads of bloodthirsty fans, but it was not a hit.

Regardless, since we're talking about the John Wick franchise, there's no way we aren't going to talk about mighty Keanu Reeves. The relationship between him and the gaming industry is evergreen, whether it's a mere voiceover for John Wick in Payday 2 or a big role like Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077.

Now that a John Wick title is potentially in the making, does that mean we might see the legendary actor on the computer screen again? It seems very likely, since Keanu Reeves defines the John Wick character. Lionsgate had similar sentiments back in 2023, when CEO Jon Feltheimer planned something big. It, however, failed due to the lack of a proper plan. Considering the transcripts of a Lionsgate executive, Keanu fans see some hope for a new John Wick Game.

John Wick Video Game: What To Expect?

As a Baba Yaga fan myself, I craved a John Wick AAA title for a long time. While I had huge hopes for Lionsgate during 2023, it faded as we stepped into 2026. Now that Adam Fogelsen responded positively, it's only a matter of time. While Keanu Reeves played a huge role in Cyberpunk 2077, we can definitely expect him to take on a bigger role this time.

Considering its gameplay, I personally would like to see a third-person view model, like Hitman or Alan Wake. It depends on the developers on how they would approach it. We can wait and expect a major official announcement.
