Marvel Contest of Champions MCOC Tier List (September 2026): Best Champions Ranked

Kabam's Marvel Contest of Champions, or MCOC, needs no introduction; the game is one of the best fighting RPGs out there for Mobile. It features Marvel's ever-growing roster of heroes in the game, with every update you get new heroes introduced in the game.

As of today, there are over 200+ heroes or champions in the game, across different genres and subcategories. If you are new to the game, you are in luck, as in this MCOC Tier List, I will rank all of the heroes available as of now.

Marvel Contest of Champions Tier List (September 2026): Ranking from Best to Worst

As stated earlier, the game's roster is ever-expanding because of how active the community is. With almost every update, you get new in-game events that bring new heroes to the game. You add them to your roster by completing the events and earning the game currency.

There are 200+ champions currently, and the currency is limited. Hence, I have ranked all the heroes based on their abilities in the following tiers in my MCOC Tier List.

• S Tier
• A Tier
• B Tier
• C Tier

S-Tier

S-Tier characters are the absolute best; however, they command a heavy price in-game. Hence, you need to grind through the events to accumulate enough resources to unlock shards of these characters.

These heroes are at the absolute peak of the stats; even though there are different character classes, you can not go wrong with any of them. The following are the best ones from this tier of our MCOC Tier List.

• Hercules: Hercules is a cosmic hero in the game. He comes as the ultimate tank with maxed-out defensive and offensive stats. He can absorb the most damage and can simultaneously deal the most devastating blows to enemies. No matter what sort of gameplay you go for, he will always fit in, given his majestic stats. He performs well against almost every class and enemy.
• Doctor Doom: The new Avenger antagonist is the most powerful magical hero on the list. He combines his enormous damage with his unique power and buff control. Doctor Doom is a more specialised hero compared to Hercules; he is best used for ranged enemies, as his powers allow you to pick enemies from a distance.
• Onslaught: Onslaught might come across as a tank option like Hercules, but there is much more to the character. His power-ups give you the ability to trigger panic and chaos if chained correctly. This can help you control the game at your pace by keeping your enemy's attacking options limited.

A-Tier

A-Tier heroes from our MCOC Tier List are also great options to take down enemies even in higher-tier events. The only difference between A- and S-tier is universal utility.

S-tier heroes can be used for any situation; however, with A-tier, you have to focus on team chemistry and class bonuses to pick the correct heroes. The following are the best ones from this tier.

• Adam Warlock: He is a strategic hero and has the capacity to dictate the tempo of the game. His power-ups recharge faster than others; he can be used to build pressure and suppress the enemy for longer. If you are looking for a strategic Cosmic hero, you cannot go wrong with him on your team.
• Nick Fury: Nick Fury has insane survivability, thanks to his special abilities. He possesses the Second Life perk, which literally gives you a second chance against your enemy. In terms of offensive stats, he does lack compared to the rest; however, with a few offensive upgrades, he can be a gem, given the other benefits he possesses.
• Captain America Infinity War: Good survivability with extra punch against buff-heavy opponents. Again, needs to be teamed with heroes complementing his abilities for maximum benefit. Overall, he is pretty useful because of his defence and leadership perk, which adds more utility to his presence.

B-Tier

Moving on with our MCOC champion tier list, we have B-Tier heroes. They are mostly mid-game heroes, good for mid-event fights, but become obsolete in later ones.

You can use the shards to upgrade them, but switching to higher-tier ones is generally the better option. The following are the best heroes in this tier.

• Anti Venom: Anti Venom is one of the most damage-heavy heroes in the game and could very easily have been a part of the S-tier in rankings. However, he struggles hard against skill and Tech enemies. He is a science-heavy utility brawler with limited range. He does devastating damage against heroes from the Spider-Verse, but is mediocre against the rest, making him restricted to performing best only in limited scenarios.
• Thor (Ragnarok): Not the best Thor version, but definitely one of the best heroes in this tier. Thor (Ragnarok) has somewhat outdated combat mechanics compared to other Skill heroes. He has good damage output with massive stun potential and can keep your enemy pinned, hence remaining a decent option for aggressive players.
• Wolverine Weapon X: Wolverine Weapon X has extreme blood damage potential, helping to drain enemy health over time. The regeneration ability helps him to recover health mid-fight. Overall, it can be a very aggressive and offensive option for the right player. Given his utility, he deserves a spot in our MCOC Tier list.

C-Tier

C-Tier heroes in our Marvel Contest of Champions Tier List mostly consist of the 1-star, 2-star heroes that you get as standard. These heroes should be discarded, as even with upgrades, they fare poorly against even mid-game enemies.

They can be good fillers for replaying the early-stage events for resource farming, but besides these, they play no role. The following are the best ones in this tier.

• Agent Venom: Good for an aggressive playstyle; he does struggle with damage, but somewhat compensates for it with his passive bleeding damage perk. Pretty straightforward gameplay option, with little room for innovation. Struggles against mutant and mystic classes but is still a solid pick for this tier
• Deadpool X-Force: Possibly one of the weakest versions of Deadpool, but still a fun-to-play hero, just like other Deadpools in the game. He delivers decent damage, with a decent bleeding damage perk and good regeneration, helping him with survivability. Not worth spending too many shards, but he is one of the better options in this tier.
• Vision - Age of Ultron: Even though Vision lacks in pure damage stats, he compensates for it well with his power management perk. He can slow down the tempo of the fight and prevent the enemy from reaching his special attacks. If you are an aggressive player, he has no utility, but for strategic players, he can offer a lot.
