A Final Look At The Hero Balance and Other Changes Before The Official Season 7 Patch

3 min
Marvel Rivals Patch Notes Season 7

Summary

  • Marvel Rivals Season 7 is scheduled to hit the servers on March 20, 2026.
  • The huge gap between the Dive and Poke Heroes will now be balanced in the Season 7 Update.
  • This article provides a quick insight into the Season 7 Changes.

Marvel Rivals Season 7 is knocking on the doors, and NetEase developers have already unveiled a brief on the balance changes on their Dev Vision (Volume 15). While the overall storyline is bringing back everyone to good old New York, two new Heroes (White Fox and Black Cat) will join the Marvel Rivals' ever-expanding roster.

Apart from that, a plethora of Hero balance changes and QoL (quality of life) changes will be implemented to enhance the overall experience for gamers. On that note, let's glance at important changes before the official Marvel Rivals Patch Notes Season 7 goes live on the servers.

Dive Heroes Needs To Focus More On Team Co-Ordination

NetEase developers have made it clear that they've worked on the huge gap between dive and poke Heroes based on the recent Hero pick rates. Solo dive or uncoordinated dive characters will not be able to make a huge impact. Therefore, a relief for the Strategists as they should not worry about that one annoying Psylocke every time.

On the other hand, the developers have clearly mentioned that Strategist players must contribute more towards damage rather than heal-botting their teammates. This was directed at the energy efficiency gap created by shared healing. According to the devs, this will bring balance to the meta. It will encourage everyone to pick what's needed at that exact point in the game.

All Heroes will now have 20% reduction for their Ultimate ability charge. This will certainly force players to focus on teamplay rather than a solo approach.

There are a couple of changes made by NetEase in the upcoming Season 7 Update. Here's a brief:

New Team-Ups

New Map

A brand-new Convergence map named Lower Manhattan will be a part of the game.

Competitive Changes

X0X_LEAK, a prominent data miner in the Marvel Rivals community, has shared some interesting changes before the Marvel Rivals Patch Notes Season 7 hits the servers.

According to the data miner, a new ban system will be introduced, and players can ban three Heroes instead of two before the competitive match. The ban phase timer will now be shorter to save some time. Moreover, the developers have also teased that your placement will now depend on your individual performance. You might or might not receive a bonus for your act.

Aside from the Marvel Rivals Season 7 patch notes, we also recently covered the MR Chrono Rush Event.
