Mobile Legends Marcel: Skills, Abilities, and Release Update

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players have a new hero buzzing around the Advanced Server. Despite leaking all the in-game models, gameplay clips and skill screenshots, there is still much speculation within the Mobile Legends Community regarding Marcel's potential role as a Support and how he will fit into the game environment.

Moonton has not provided any official release date, final stats or anything else for Mobile Legends Marcel, and all of the information that has surfaced can obviously change before he officially hits all Live Servers. Till then, let's explore all the speculations.

Mobile Legends Marcel Overview

Through the leak by abyssal_mlbb on Twitter, we were given a look at Marcel's Character Model, Ability Icons, and some of the FX to be used with his skills.

All signs point to a Hero focused heavily on Crowd Control capabilities, Team Utility thought process, and creating Chaos on the Battlefield. Marcel looks to be different from most other Mages.

Mobile Legends Marcel Abilities

Mobile Legends Marcel’s design revolves around blending damage, control, and team support. The leaked skill set paints a picture of a hero that can anchor fights and swing team battles.

Platinum Snap (Passive)

If an enemy hero is nearby, Marcel receives bonus Health (50% of their Maximum Health) that converts to a hybrid form of Defence (75% Physical Damage Resistance / 25% Magical Damage Resistance).

The Passive effect allows both Marcel and any nearby Allies to regain 200 Health per enemy killed and will continue for 6 seconds. Marcel, upon using his Passive Ability, will also gain a Shield that lasts for 1 minute after activation, allowing any nearby allies to gain 50% of the Shield for 30 seconds after activation.

Framed Moment (Active)

This ability creates a Zone. Once cast, any enemy that enters the Zone, until they leave, will receive Physical Damage and be immobilised. Allies within the Zone, while it persists, will have Camouflage. As such, this skill serves as both a good zoning tool and an excellent engagement/disengagement option.

Tracking Shot (Active)

Tracking Shot gives him a movement speed boost, with an additional speed boost as he moves towards an enemy. Players can use the ability again to dash in any direction and leave behind a phantom. The phantom remains where the framed moment was. Thus, players get the opportunity to use clever positioning.

Golden Hour (Ultimate)

After Marcel takes a moment to wind up, he can lock down a large area to create a zone and enter almost every unit within that zone into stasis. While within the zone, all units will be immobile, and they will not take damage, except from Marcel himself.

All projectiles from ranged sources will also pause while the effect is in place, and hit at the end. Golden Hour resets the cooldown of Platinum Snap for all enemies that are caught in the zone. This ultimate is capable of being both an early initiation tool and a spectacle that can shake up team fights when used properly.

Mobile Legends Marcel Release Date

Marcel’s appearance on the Advanced Server means Moonton is testing him ahead of the broader release. However, none of the leaked information contains the Mobile Legends Marcel release date on live servers.

However, most heroes are usually tested for some period of time before they can be used in a normal gaming format. Keep an eye out for news via either Patch Notes or the Social Network. Developers have not commented on Marcel’s release plan yet, so any date remains speculative. These early leaks give players plenty to discuss while waiting.
