MLBB MPL Indonesia Season 16 Playoffs: Participating Teams, Schedule, and Where to Watch?

The Playoffs for MPL Indonesia Season 16, which is also the most important phase of the competition, are just around the corner. We are down to six teams fighting to become MLBB national champions and to earn the right to represent Indonesia at the M7 World Championship in January 2026, which will come after two months of competition.

The Playoffs will take place at Nusantara International Convention Exhibition in Jakarta, 31 October to 2 November 2025. This event is all set to bring excitement and anticipation to fans all across the country, as they wait to see which team will be crowned champions in this season.

By the end of the season, six teams earned their place in the Playoffs:

• ONIC Esports
• Bigetron by Vitality
• Alter Ego
• EVOS
• Dewa United Esports
• Natus Vincere.

From August to the end of September, the MPL Indonesia Season 16 regular season took place over two intense months. Nine teams competed week after week, fighting for their top six spots to qualify for the Playoffs. Each match was do-or-die for all of the team, and each loss could alter the standings in a day.

Surprisingly, familiar names such as RRQ, Geek Fam, and Team Liquid were all knocked out early, which was a shock to many fans. This is why this season showcased to us how competitive and unpredictable Indonesia’s Mobile Legends scene has become.

ONIC Esports was undoubtedly the strongest team in the regular season. They finished in first place with 14 wins out of 16 games. They showed total dominance from start to finish.

Alter Ego ended the regular season in third place with nine victories. While they experienced a few bumps, their creative playstyle and team synergy will certainly make them a contender in the Playoffs. EVOS and Dewa United Esports each finished with eight wins in the regular season.

MLBB MPL Indonesia S16 Playoffs Format Explained

The MLBB MPL Indonesia S16 Playoffs will use a Hybrid Elimination format, and, with the exception of the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, all matches will feature a best-of-five (Bo5) format, and all teams will have the chance to move through the Upper Bracket until ultimately being eliminated.

The top two teams from the regular season, ONIC and Bigetron, are seeded directly into the semi-finals, and the other teams will start from the quarter-finals.

In the first quarterfinal, Alter Ego will be matched up against Natus Vincere. The winner of this match will advance to the semifinals to face Bigetron, while the losing team will be eliminated from the playoffs.

In the other quarterfinal matchup, EVOS will take on Dewa United Esports. The loser will end their season there, while the winner will face ONIC Esports in the next round, the defending champions.
