Try the Top-Down Overwatch Game Before the Closed Beta Ends

It's been a couple of days since Blizzard Entertainment dropped an early development gameplay preview on Overwatch Rush. While its top-down approach sparked debate among some members, the developers have surprisingly launched their Overwatch Rush Regional Test. The closed beta phase, however, is only available for Android users from Indonesia. On the bright side, there's a simple way you can follow to download and try it out from anywhere in the world. Keeping that in mind, this article will provide you with a brief overview of how to download and be a part of the Overwatch Rush Regional Test.

The Top-Down View: Overwatch Is Finally Available For Testing, But It's Closed Beta

Days after the early development gameplay trailer, Blizzard has unveiled the Regional Test. As mentioned, this closed beta is, however, only available to Android users in the Philippines. Almost all classic Heroes from the Overwatch universe have assembled here. Once the title gets its global release, we're expected to witness an expanded roster.

Being a top-down 4v4 Hero shooter, it's quite evident that it's not a direct port of the PC edition. Developers from Blizzard are introducing some new kinds of game mechanics for it. Even though the title is in its early build, it'll be interesting to see what Blizzard brings, considering that a much-awaited dream of every Overwatch player is coming alive.

How to download Overwatch Rush Beta

As we've mentioned multiple times, Blizzard Entertainment has only released the Overwatch Rush Beta exclusively for the Philippines on Android. The iOS users and global Android users won't be able to download the title from the Google Play Store, as of now.

From Philippines

In case you're from the Philippines, here's the official method:

• Navigate to the official Google Play Store.
• Type Overwatch Rush in the search box.
• Hit the Download button. The size of the title is approximately 1.4 GB.
• Install it and be a part of the Overwatch universe on your handheld device.

From the rest of the World

Don't worry, even if you're not from the Philippines, you can still be a part of this Test phase. You just need to know how to utilise your VPN correctly. Here's a brief:

• Install any free VPN (e.g., TunnelBear, Proton, or another) on your Android device.
• Set your region to the Philippines.
• Navigate to the Google Play Store and create a new account.
• Search for Overwatch Rush and install it on your Android device.

In case you can't find the title even after turning on VPN, we recommend that you clear your Play Store Cache for a fresh start. Do note that this method will only work on Android, since the closed beta is only available on that operating system.
