October is always an eventful month for the PoGo community. From the Halloween event to Dia de Muertos, the community enjoys special spawns, exciting rewards, and the famous Lavender Town tune throughout the month. However, the fun is always doubled up for the Indian community as they get to enjoy one more event exclusive to their country in the form of the Festival of Light.

Pokemon GO Festivals Of Light Event Dates

Festivals of Light is a Pokemon GO India exclusive event. Every year, the event brings something new to the table. Naturally, the expectations were high this year too.

@PokemonGoAppIN took it to their official X to make the Pokemon GO Festivals of Light event announcement live with the community on 3rd October, 2025, around 12 PM (IST).

The event will start on 18th October, 2025 (10 AM), to 23rd October, 2025 (8 PM) local time.

Given the popularity of the features of the event, the community is excited to grind and get their hands on exclusive spawns and rewards.

@Spencxrrrr and others wasted no time stating that the event seems way more exciting than the newly announced Pokemon Legends Z-A Release celebration in Pokemon GO.

The featured species in the event are a Pikachu wearing a saree (female) and a Pikachu wearing a Kurta (male). In addition to these two, the trainers can also encounter Pikachu wearing an Indonesian football jersey.

During the event, trainers can enjoy 2x Incense duration and 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon. Trainers will also receive Pikachu wearing a saree and Pikachu wearing Kurta stickers when they spin the stops.

Incense Encounters for Pokemon GO Festivals Of Light Event

Here are the species you can encounter from incense during the event:

  • Ponyta
  • Chinchou
  • Volbeat
  • Litwick
  • Morelull

Please note that all of these species can be shiny. If you are lucky, you may encounter one.

The jury is out on what we can see in 2-star, 3-star,4-star, and 5-star raids. However, during the event, the following species will appear in 1-star raids:
