On 29th August, 2025, around 10:30 PM (IST), @PokemonGoApp took it to their official X to make the Pokémon GO Trade Bonus announcement live with the community.

Given how little trading has been addressed and worked on by the game over the years, the new announcement has kept the fans buzzing in excitement for multiple reasons. Whether you have a lot of best or ultra friends, or you are already lucky friends to have a lot of best friends, the Pokémon GO trade bonus has something for everyone. Trainers like @Xerakonweb3 and others took it to their official X to showcase their excitement about the new event.

Pokémon GO Trade Event Bonuses

As per the announcement, on Sundays from September 7 to November 30, 2025, the trainers will get a load of trade bonuses. Here is what we can expect in the Pokémon GO trade event:

• One extra special trade for the day.
• -10% Stardust cost for each trade.
• Increased chance of Lucky trade for any trade (that goes for any level of friendship).
• Earn two candy XL from trades.

Given the bonuses, trainers should waste no time and mark every Sunday within the Tales of Transformation season. With that done, you can plan out which Pokémon you want to trade for the IVs and which ones you wish to trade for XL candies.
