Pokemon Unite Tier List (January 2026): Best Pokemon Ranked

8 min
Pokemon Unite Tier List

Pokemon Unite is known for frequent meta changes. This 5v5 fast-paced MOBA-action game requires you to coordinate with your team of Pokémon to win the ranked matches. All the 89 Pokemon in Pokemon Unite are classified into five distinct roles: Attacker, Defender, All-rounder, Speedster, and Support. In a team of 5, each player has to select and play a Pokémon built for a specific role. You may wonder which are the best Pokémon to climb up the ranks in the leaderboards in the current meta, so here is the ultimate Pokémon Unite tier list for January 2026.

Pokemon Unite Tier List (January 2026)

Our tier list is based on the last patch update (1.21.1.7), which introduced core map adjustments along with some buffs and nerfs. Official Buffs and Nerfs, playing difficulty, win rate, and competitive usage of the Pokémon are some factors we have kept in focus while framing the Pokémon Unite Tier List. This tier list is based on players with an average skill ceiling, which means it is not entirely for the pros or for the newbies. We have categorised the Pokémon in four tiers:

  • S Tier
  • A Tier
  • B Tier
  • C Tier

We have given details of the five best Pokémon for each tier. You should definitely try to use one of them to win more ranked matches and reach the Master division.

The Pokémon in this tier are the strongest in this current meta. If you want to reach the Master League in a solo queue, then you must go for one of these picks. The Pokémon in this tier are easy to play, boast good win rates, and have competitive viability. Their win rate ranges from 58 to 65% in this meta. Check the details of the best Pokemon from this tier:

  • Mega Charizard Y: Mega Charizard Y is the latest release in Pokémon Unite. This all-rounder is bulky and deals serious damage to the enemy. Mega Charizard Y is also highly mobile and can reach the objectives very quickly. In the solo queue, Mega Charizard Y will prove to be a beast in the endgame scenario. You can check our Mega Charizard Y guide to extract the best results.
  • Mega Gyarados: Mega Gyarados is an absolute monster to deal with in end games. Yes, it is difficult to level it up quickly if you don't get the farm, but once it unlocks its 'unite', it becomes unstoppable. With serious damage output and a bulky body, Gyarados can wipe an entire team on its own when ganked in the last Kyogre fight.
  • Vaporeon: Despite being nerfed in this meta, Vaporeon is still a nuisance to deal with. A true defender with outstanding support abilities. If you are a defender(main), Vaporeon is still a go-to pick. Just a recommendation, do not use the 'Runaway' move since its heal rate has been curbed.
  • Darkrai: Darkrai may be the squishiest of all the Pokémon in S-tier, but it comes with a big damage output. Darkrai can literally one-shot any Pokémon. It is very quick at farming and dominates lanes. To add to it, it is one of the easiest speedsters to play with.
  • Blissey: The best support in this meta. Blissey is a huge tank and helps to keep the full team alive. Blissey may not be the quickest or best at scoring, but its Alt and Normal moves greatly heal the allies. Even a player with mid skill cap can play it effectively.

A Tier Pokemon

The A-tier Pokémon are very solid, and they include mostly those that either received a minor buff or were left untouched in the last patch. Most of these Pokémon have a win rate between 51% to 54% in ranked matches. You can check the best picks from this tier below:

  • Umbreon: The meta-defying defender, Umbreon, is a headache when played in the top route. Being an eeveelution, Umbreon levels up faster than most other defenders and has a very high endurance. It hinders the enemy by trapping them, which is great for crowd control in chaotic lane fights. Despite facing multiple nerfs over the last few patches, Umbreon is still a solid solo queue and competitive option.
  • Blaziken: One of the best all-rounders in the game, Blaziken is a big damage dealer. He has decent endurance and is extremely quick in the lanes. He is the best when it comes to hidden ganking in the last Kyogre fight. However, only a high-skill ceiling player can handle its movements accurately, hence it couldn't climb to the S tier.
  • Zoroark: The shapeshifter is a menacing speedster with serious damage output. It is one of the quickest Pokémon in the game. You have to be at least a semi-pro to extract the best out of all it has to offer. Zoroark should be your pick if you are a speedster main.
  • Comfey: Although comfey has been ignored for a while, it is still a viable option if you have a team. It is great at healing, and its Unite move is useful in the end game. The Pokémon has been left as it is and hasn't received a buff or Nerf in a long time, but it still somehow thrives in this meta. We still recommend not using it in solo queue.
  • Latias: There is a reason why Latias is seen in most of the high-ranked 'Master' class matches. This Pokémon, when used in combination with Latios, can dominate lanes. Latias is unique as its damage-dealing output is the highest amongst the supports in the game.

B Tier Pokemon

The Pokemon in this tier have been nerfed, and they are not a viable option for solo or even team play. B-tier Pokemon have a win rate ranging from 46-49%. Some of the Pokemon that can win you matches on their own from this tier are:

  • Laparas: The defender is extremely bulky, and that's what makes it playable. It can take a lot of damage, and its mobility allows you to defend your goal zones. Its high HP allows it to hold off enemies even on its own. Having said that, you cannot expect it to help you win matches on its own.
  • Mr Mime: The only reason you can still use Mimey is because of its outstanding Unite move, which cancels the enemy's moves for a short time. This is great for stealing objectives or clutching a gank. On its own, Mr Mime is very limited due to its low HP and fewer healing abilities.

C Tier Pokemon

The Pokemon in this tier are the ones to ignore, at least till the meta changes. Not only do they have the lowest win rates ( below 46%), but they are also heavily nerfed. You can play one of them if they are your personal favourite, but for pushing the ranks, the Pokemon in C-tier are not viable even if you have a full team.

The Pokemon Unite Tier list simply depicts the most viable picks to play with in the current meta. Players typically have their personal favourites, and a high-skilled user can easily push to Master rank even while playing a B or A-tier Pokemon. But if you are struggling to do so, then using one of the meta Pokemonmay make your journey to Master rank a bit easier.
