PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update: New Bug Fixes and Balanced Changes

PUBG Mobile announced several bug fixes for the 4.2 update in response to player feedback. The update was shared on the official X handle on January 14, 2026.

The developers rolled out fixes and balanced PUBG bug reports across multiple modes. Here are all PUBG Mobile 4.2 bug fixes:

Florawings Adjustments: Combat Balance Improved

Here are all the combat adjustments made in the game:

• Overpowered landing skill balanced: Florawings had become too strong in close-range combat. The landing skill created pressure on nearby enemies. It left them with little time to respond, making certain encounters feel unbalanced.
• Reduced landing skill damage: Florawings’ landing skill got lowered from 40 to 10. This change reduces the skill’s ability to punish enemies on impact and brings combat outcomes more in line with player skill.
• Smaller damage area: The overall damage radius of the landing skill has also been reduced from 10 to six metres in diameter.
• Flashbang effect range reduced: The flash effect triggered during landing has been scaled down. Its effective range has been reduced from 20 meters to 10 meters in diameter.
• Knockback effect weakened: The knockback effect caused by the landing skill has been reduced. Players will no longer be pushed back too aggressively, allowing for more stable and fair close-combat engagements.

Primewood Genesis: Major Stability Fixes

• Respawn signal display fixed (January 13): PUBG Mobile latest bug fixes also addressed an issue where the respawn signal did not appear even when respawning was available.
• Spectator frame rate issue resolved: The problem causing frame rate drops while spectating teammates has been resolved.
• Spawn Island movement bug fixed (January 10): A major bug that prevented players from moving after entering Spawn Island has been fixed.
• Black screen issue resolved: The occasional black screen that appeared after entering Spawn Island has been eliminated.
• Health bar display corrected: An issue where the health bar did not display damage correctly during matches has been fixed.

World of Wonder: Match Start Issue Resolved

The pertaining World of Wonder match start issue has finally been fixed in this update:

• Premade team map start fixed: PUBG Mobile fixed an issue where World of Wonder maps failed to start even when a premade team had enough players.
• Smoother access to custom content: This fix ensures players and creators can enjoy WOW mode without unnecessary delays, improving the overall custom map experience.

PUBG Mobile has also acknowledged several known issues that are currently pending fixes. These include enemy elimination crates showing a green light, elimination effects overlapping with normal effects, and throwables being automatically released without letting go of the button.
