Cooperative Climbing

One of the biggest PUBG Mobile Version 4.2 Classic mode changes is Cooperative Climbing. Previously, many walls and ledges were difficult to climb alone, which often hindered players during fights or escapes. Now, teammates can help each other climb.

In this system, one player climbs first and then helps pull another teammate up. This makes it easier to reach rooftops, balconies, and high ground.

Training Grounds Get Team-Up Features

The Training Grounds are getting a major quality-of-life update. Players can now team up directly within the training area, rather than practising alone. With the new Team-Up and Invite options, friends can practice together before entering real matches. This helps beginners learn controls faster and allows experienced players to test strategies without pressure.

Smoother Prone Movement and Better Control

Movement while lying down has been improved in Version 4.2. Players can now rotate more smoothly in the prone position, making it easier to scan areas and react to enemies.

Primewood Genesis: New Themed Mode and Release Date

Along with PUBG Mobile 4.2 classic updates, it also introduces a new themed mode called Primewood Genesis. In this mode, a massive Sacred Tree takes over parts of the map. Areas like Erangel are transformed with giant roots, vines, and overgrown buildings. Some zones are blocked and must be cleared by players to unlock rewards.

New vehicles like Guardian Deer help players move faster, while plant-based bosses guard high-value loot areas. The current themed mode is expected to end on January 5, 2026. PUBG Mobile Version 4.2 will likely launch globally around January 6 or 7, 2026, depending on the region.
