Riot Games disabled one of its more popular agents on Thursday, May 7. For weeks, players have been complaining about Neon, one of the game's better-known duelists. Many claimed the agent was unbalanced, giving competitors an edge in certain situations. The developers seemingly heard the feedback and are disabling her until the VALORANT 12.09 patch release.

VALORANT Neon Disabled Announcement

Riot Games made the VALORANT Neon disabled announcement on X (formerly Twitter). “It's happening,” they wrote.

In the same post, they claimed that VALORANT developers will release more information around Neon tomorrow, May 8. The current situation is similar to when Tejo was disabled in VALORANT earlier this year.

Why is Neon Disabled VALORANT?

VALORANT developers have explained the reason why is Neon disabled. Apparently, they discovered a new graphics exploit with the agent's Fast Lane ability. Riot Games officials claimed this bug affected competitive integrity and hence she has been disabled on PC. She will remain inactive until the next VALORANT 12.09 patch. When she does return, a Neon nerf VALORANT may also be on the developers' cards.

What Else is Changing With Neon Valorant?

Riot Games revealed more info about VALORANT Neon, revealing the update map for the agent in the next patch. They claimed the primary changes will revolve around parts of her kit that are over-tuned. For now, the VALORANT Neon disabled issue might bother some players who have been actively using her.
