VALORANT Patch 12.05 Adds a New Agent and Sage Gets Major Changes

VALORANT Patch 12.05 Agent updates have arrived. The nerfs and buffs aside, patch 12.05 brings several changes to maps, interfaces, bug fixes, and many more. With this new patch, five agents will get new updates. Not only that, but a new Controller has also arrived on the scene. Miks Comes to the Scene

The biggest addition in the patch is Miks, a new Controller joining the roster from Croatia. His kit's sound-based abilities help teammates fight like a team and maintain momentum during rounds. Harmonize grants a Combat Stim to both Miks and a targeted ally, refreshing after kills, while M-pulse can either concuss enemies or heal teammates depending on its selected mode.
He also brings Waveform, which allows him to deploy smokes through a map targeter, and Bassquake, an ultimate that sends out a wave of sonic energy that knocks back, deafens, and slows enemies.

VALORANT Skye Changes

The VALORANT Skye changes target her signature flash ability, Guiding Light. In Patch 12.05, the flash has now become rechargeable again with a 60-second cooldown.

VALORANT Yoru Changes

As for VALORANT Yoru changes, Gatecrash has been heavily adjusted, with the duration the beacon remains active reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. Blindside has also been reduced from two charges to one.

VALORANT Clove changes

The VALORANT Clove changes focus on limiting the impact she can have after death. Ruse now lasts only 6 seconds when the smoke is deployed after dying, down from 14 seconds. Meddle has also been adjusted, with its area of effect reduced from 6 meters to 4 meters.

VALORANT Sage changes

Sage did not receive a balance change, but VALORANT Sage changes introduce improvements to her ally targeting interface. The update adds a clearer visual widget above teammates when using Healing Orb, along with a stronger highlight around the targeted agent model.

This update aligns Sage’s targeting system with the new UI used for Miks’ abilities. Riot also updated Sage’s character model with crystal growths that reflect the toll her powers are taking in the game’s evolving story.
