VALORANT Lotus Changes in Patch 12.05

All the changes in Lotus have been made particularly around the A site area. The goal is to limit early wall penetration tactics. It would give attackers better chances to push out of A Lobby. Here are all the VALORANT Lotus changes:

Attacker Lobby Wall Reinforced

The wall in Attacker Lobby has been thickened to prevent players from shooting through it as soon as the round barrier drops. This change removes early round wallbang attempts that previously allowed defenders or attackers to deal damage before fights properly started.

Vines Jump-Up Relocated

The jump-up route to Vines has been repositioned. This adjustment helps attackers leave A Lobby more safely and reduces the amount of utility that can be stacked on the choke point at the start of a round.

Tree Room Wall Reinforced

The wall outside Tree Room has also been strengthened to prevent wall penetration. Riot aims to cut down on situations where players could damage opponents through the wall before direct engagements.

Extra Space Added Outside A-Site Stairs

There is now more space outside the A-site stairs. As a result, defenders have more space to maintain deeper positions. Additionally, they can now evade direct pressure from assailants who try to push through Rubble.

A-Site Plant Zone Adjusted

Players are no longer able to plant the Spike for the breakable door near Link on the A site due to modifications made to the plant zone. This eliminates a powerful post-plant angle that had previously put defenders in challenging retake scenarios.
