WARDOGS Confirms Closed Alpha Playtest With New Gameplay Details

Developer BULKHEAD has officially announced the WARDOGS Closed Alpha Playtest, giving selected players an early chance to experience the upcoming large-scale military FPS. Unlike battle royale or extraction shooters, WARDOGS focuses on 100-player objective-based warfare, featuring infantry combat, military vehicles, destructible environments, and teamwork-driven gameplay.

The schedule for the WARDOGS Closed Alpha Playtest has been set to:

• Start Date: August 7, 2026
• End Date: August 9, 2026
• Platform: Steam (PC)

Closed Alpha Playtest WARDOGS Features

In the playtest, there will be 100 player battles, where three competing sides will fight in random 2×2 km Control Zones. There will also be helicopters, tanks, and artillery available to players, along with destructible buildings. It also includes persistent cash progression, Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) for building defenses, and proximity voice chat to encourage teamwork and squad coordination.
