Amid CSK Song Complaint, SRH Reserves Rights for This Song

Controversies and the Indian Premier League (IPL) go hand in hand. CSK have lodged a complaint against their rivals for using the ‘Dosa Idli’ song in their previous encounter.

Amidst CSK song complaint, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have jumped to the occasion and officially secured the rights and license to play the “Aaya Sher” track in their clash against CSK on April 18 in Hyderabad. This is exciting news for the SRH supporters who are planning to go and watch the match in the stadium.

SRH Reserves Aaya Sher Song for IPL 2026

DJ Ravish, the official DJ for SRH games, took to social media to reveal the big step taken by SRH ahead of their clash against CSK in two days. The song, Aaya Sher, is not the Sunrisers Hyderabad anthem. SRH have leaned towards having brilliant songs aiming to reflect the “Orange Army” energy and aggressive playing style. Hence, the track, composed by Anirudh Ravichander for the film The Paradise, is a perfect fit.

If we talk about cricket, SRH are back on track with two consecutive wins, similar to CSK's performance. Hence, the upcoming clash is going to be quite interesting to watch as both teams are in form. Playing in their own home ground, SRH will have an added advantage in the game. Captain Ishan Kishan will be happy with the team's performance as well.

CSK Got into Copyright Dispute with SRH Owners Over Song

Before the start of IPL 2026, CSK and SRH, one of the best teams in IPL faced off over a copyright dispute involving a song. The Super Kings franchise found themselves in trouble as a copyright infringement case was filed against them by Sun TV Network, which also owns SRH. The issue erupted from a promotional video released by CSK to release their new jersey ahead of the season. They used dialogues and background music from films starring Rajinikanth, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. However, these films, including Jailer, Jailer 2, and Coolie, are produced by Sun TV Network, which holds the rights to their music and audio content.

According to reports, Sun TV Network approached the Madras High Court and hence, CSK had to re-release the video by removing the song. The Super Kings management also informed the court that it would refrain from using such material in the future without obtaining the necessary licenses.
