The three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) suffered a huge blow when they were forced to let go of Bangladesh's star pacer Mustafizur Rahman for the upcoming IPL season. Due to the ongoing tensions between India and Bangladesh, the franchise had to face the wrath of signing Mustafizur due to which they had to make this difficult move.

While they haven't made any official announcement regarding the replacement, the recent rumours suggested that Kolkata Knight Riders have named a few players who can replace Mustafizur for the upcoming IPL season.

Zimbabwe's star pacer Blessing Muzarabani recently started following one of the best teams in IPL, KKR, on Instagram and even their new power coach Andre Russell. According to the reports in RevSportz, Blessing Muzarabani might be playing for KKR in the upcoming season.

The tall, lanky fast bowler signed a deal with PSL franchise Islamabad United and was likely to play for them in the upcoming season. However, if KKR picks him up for the IPL, then he is most likely to leave the PSL.

Blessing Muzarabani IPL 2026 presence could be a big moment in his career. His IPL career is yet to start, however, he was a part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru squad last year. However, he didn't get a game. If he gets a chance for KKR, there is a chance for him to make his IPL debut.

Blessing Muzarabani was one of the top performers from the ICC T20 World Cup and played a crucial role in Zimbabwe's impressive run in the tournament. The star pacer played six matches in the tournament and picked up 13 wickets. The pacer emerged as one of the best T20 bowlers and was also quite economical with a brilliant economy rate of 7.88 and an impressive average of 14.46.

Blessing Muzarabani PSL absence could be a huge blow for the Pakistan-based franchise league as a lot of foreign stars have opted to play in the IPL, ditching PSL. With this signing, Muzarabani becomes the second player after Sikandar Raza to join the list of Zimbabwe players in IPL 2026.
