Deepak Chahar Brings Out Invisible Paper Celebration Against KKR At Eden Gardens

The IPL 2026 season has seen some of the most unique celebrations in the history of the league. Mumbai Indians pacer Deepak Chahar brought out another different celebration during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.

After KKR restricted MI to 147-8 in 20 overs, the visitors needed early wickets. Chahar lived up to the expectations of delivering with the new ball and produced an early breakthrough for his side.

Chahar, who bowled the opening over of the innings, took the big wicket of KKR's in-form opener Finn Allen. After picking up the wicket, Chahar stopped his teammates who were rushing towards him to celebrate.

The right-arm pacer then put his hands inside his pocket and brought out an invisible paper before showing it to the everyone. At first glance, it seemed like Deepak would take out a paper but there was nothing in his pocket.

Despite being one of the best bowlers in IPL, he has been in and out of the side with Mumbai Indians constantly searching for a winning combination. However, their season didn't go well as they were reduced to the bottom half of the IPL points table.

The paper celebration in IPL has been a new trend this year. A no. of players, especially the youngsters, have dished out the paper from their respective pockets and displayed it after picking up any wicket.

The trend was started by Abhishek Sharma after he hit a century last year. It has been followed by several uncapped Indian players like Raghu Sharma, Urvil Patel, and Akash Singh this season.
