10. Mumbai Indians | ₹2.75 Cr

The Ambani's team, Mumbai Indians's budget ahead of IPL 2026 auction is ₹2.75 Cr and have spent ₹117.25 Cr. The team's budget is depicted after the retention list as they have been involved in several trades from other teams like, Shardul Thakur from LSG, Arjun Tendulkar to LSG, and Sherfane Rutherford from GT. MI is going with the lowest budget among all the teams.

9. Punjab Kings | ₹11.50 Cr

The team which is considered to be the most unsuccessful team in IPL has spent ₹108.50 Cr after player retentions. Punjab Kings are left with minimum of ₹11.50 Cr in their purse which will be used by the team as they have released a few players and to get some faces in the team.

8. Gujarat Titans | ₹12.90 Cr

The Gujarat Titans, one of the new teams in the IPL, built a balanced squad in previous IPL and is left with ₹12.90 Cr and will be looking forward to fill gaps ahead of IPL 2026. The team budget going to IPL 2026 auction was dependent on retention of players as well as on the trade of Sherfane Rutherford to MI.

7. Rajasthan Royals | ₹16.05 Cr

The budget of Rajasthan Royals after the IPL 2026 retention list is ₹16.05 Cr. The team has spent ₹103.95 Cr where they have traded Ravindra Jadeja as well as Sam Curran in the squad for ₹14 Cr and ₹2.4 Cr respectively in place of Sanju Samson who was the skipper of RR. They have also roped in Donovan Ferreira in place of Nitish Rana.

6. Royal Challengers Bengaluru | ₹16.40 Cr

The defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has spent ₹103.60 Cr as of now after trade and they are left with the budget of ₹16.40 Cr ahead of IPL 2026 auction which will be used by the team as RCB released players 2026 from the current squad to tick all the boxes in the team and go well in the new season of the IPL.

5. Delhi Capitals | ₹21.80 Cr

Delhi Capitals who are left with ₹21.80 Cr going into the IPL 2026 auction after spending ₹119.80 Cr in IPL 2025 auction. The updated budget of Delhi Capitals is ₹21.80 Cr as they have also done trade with Rajasthan Royals for Nitish Rana in place Donovan Ferreira.

4. Lucknow Super Giants | ₹22.95 Cr

The another new team in the IPL, Lucknow Super Giants spent a lot in the last auction when the bought Rishabh Pant. The team has done several trades ahead of auction which will impact LSG budget, like Shardul Thakur to MI, Arjun Tendulkar from MI, and Mohammed Shami from SRH. LSG is left with ₹22.95 Cr after spending ₹97.05 Cr.

3. Sunrisers Hyderabad | ₹25.50 Cr

The team which looked the most dangerous in last IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad, had spent ₹94.50 Cr and are left with ₹25.50 Cr in their purse ahead of IPL 2026 auction. The team has also traded Mohammed Shami to LSG before the IPL 2026 retention list which has impacted their overall budget.

2. Chennai Super Kings | ₹43.40 Cr

The five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings, will be coming the IPL 2026 auction after doing well in the player trade and are left with second highest budget of ₹43.40 Cr ahead of IPL 2026 auction. CSK has roped in Sanju Samson from RR in place of Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran.

1. Kolkata Knight Riders | ₹64.30 Cr

Kolkata Knight Riders is the another team who has to do good on the auction table to build a balanced team for next IPL. They have the highest purse amount among the other teams, with budget of ₹64.30 Cr. They spent ₹119.95 Cr in the previous auction and ahead of IPL 2026, team has made a lot of changes in the coaching set up. KKR has only traded Mayank Markande to Mumbai Indians.
