Rajasthan Royals pulled off a stunning chase against Lucknow Super Giants in Match 64 of IPL 2026 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday. Chasing 221, RR rode on a sensational batting performance from youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi and finished the chase in just 19.1 overs to win by seven wickets.

Despite putting up a massive total, LSG’s bowling unit failed to defend the score, leaving captain Rishabh Pant visibly emotional during the post-match presentation. Pant, who was visibly frustrated after the match, said something that left everyone in a shock.

Rishabh Pant Abusive Comment Goes Viral After RR vs LSG Match

During the post-match interview, Rishabh Pant strongly backed his struggling side despite another disappointing result in IPL 2026. However, he also said the “F” word on live TV in the process.

“The kind of team we have, we know we can win this. Regardless of anything, we are confident enough as a team and as individuals.” He then grabbed attention by using abusive language on live television, adding, “It hasn’t gone our way and everyone knows that, but that doesn’t take away the fact that we are a f***ing good team,” the LSG skipper said.

Rishabh Pant F word comment quickly went viral across social media platforms after the RR vs LSG IPL 2026 match. Commentator Ian Bishop even had to apologise on air immediately after Pant’s remark during the broadcast.

The moment reflected the frustration within the LSG camp as the franchise continued to struggle for consistency despite having a star-studded lineup. Rajasthan Royals, meanwhile, kept their playoff hopes alive with one of their best chases of the season, successfully hunting down a 220-plus target with five balls remaining.

Will Rishabh Pant Be Fined By BCCI?

Rishabh Pant, one of the best wicketkeepers in IPL could potentially face disciplinary action from the BCCI and the IPL governing council for using abusive language during the live post-match presentation. Under the IPL Code of Conduct, players can be penalised for behaviour considered inappropriate during official interviews and live television appearances.

Similar incidents in the past have resulted in warnings or monetary fines depending on the severity of the offence and the match referee’s report. As of now, neither the IPL nor the BCCI has issued an official statement regarding Pant’s comments. The LSG captain’s frustration was clearly visible after another disappointing result as they remain at the bottom of the IPL points table.

Despite the defeat, Lucknow Super Giants still have one league-stage match remaining this season, where they will face Punjab Kings on May 23. They will have the opportunity to ruin the party for PBKS becuase if the Shreyas Iyer-led side lose the match, they will be eliminated from the tournament.
