However, fans were awaited for the thrill of this match but noticed players of CSK black armbands. This created curiosity among the fans to know what happened that only CSK players were spotted in black armbands in IPL's El Classico match.

CSK Players Wearing Black Armbands Against MI: Know the Reason

A tragedy hit in the CSK camp but not in the form of injury this time as the left arm pacer of Chennai Super Kings, Mukesh Choudhary, lost his mother, Prem Devi, on Tuesday following a year-long illness. The players and support staff of the five time champions are wearing the black armbands against the Mumbai Indians to give a tribute to Mukesh Choudhary mother death.

However, black armbands in IPL were a lot of times in the past but this team only single team is wearing to show respect towards the personal loss of one of the players of the team. Mukesh went to his hometown immediately after the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday and performed the last rites alongside his elder brother, Dr Rajesh Choudhary. Mukesh Choudhary is included in the Playing XI and is playing after death of his mother, joining the list of cricketers who have suffered Personal Loss while playing.

The past of MI vs CSK has seen some of the thrilling matches in the history of IPL. However, since 2023, the win record is opposite as CSK managed to win 4 out of 5 matches since then.
