Mumbai Indians' Tough IPL 2026 Campaign

In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Mumbai Indians have gone through a disappointing campaign. From 13 matches, the side has only managed to win 4 games, becoming one of the first teams to get eliminated from the tournament. The 5-time champions are currently at the bottom half of the IPL points table and will hope to finish their campaign on a high with a victory against RR.

Opening batter Rohit Sharma and skipper Hardik Pandya missed a few matches, which affected their batting line-up. In-form batter Quinton De Kock carried the side in the absence of key players but got injured and was ruled out of the tournament.

Veteran fast bowling duo of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult didn't prove to be a lethal combo, taking only 6 wickets between them. In the IPL 2027 season, the Mumbai Indians management will be looking to fill all these gaps in order to get back to winning ways.
